Comex is bleeding 200Koz on every week day as of late. Currently, 59Moz are remaining in the vaults as registered. So if we continue on this trend, 295 week days -or 59 weeks- will be needed to empty it totally, which would land us in early september of next year.... Not really quite there fren.
By EOY the comex should still have around 46Moz left in registered.
Still a pretty damn big drop from the 150Moz they had back in Jan. 2021 when the "silver squeeze" meme started.

But this is only projections, it could very well accelerate toward the end, as different entities are smelling blood in the water and want to withdraw physical. Or the opposite could happen too, with the comex changing the rules and forbidding withdrawals.

I copypasta this from another anon yesterday. He seemed well informed.

If you're paying high premiums on your PMs and they're not numismatic, you're doing something wrong. Unless you've got a big stack you should focus on weight. While I agree with you on silver you shouldn't be buying generic gold rounds and bars. 1 oz gold coins already have a very low premium so buying something that's harder for future buyers to verify is just gonna make it harder for you later on.

>If you're paying high premiums on your PMs and they're not numismatic, you're doing something wrong

Stacking cheap scrap for refining and rare ancient numismatics is peak comfy. Deep down I agree that it's smart to have some actual bullion coins like American Eagles and Maples, but if you're going for the most practical, trustworthy and recognized form it's fractional pre-65 constitutional coin in the US. There are literally millions of fake ASEs out there, most being more-or-less obvious to people with hands-on experience but some are very skillful forgeries so unfortunately they need to be weighed/tested like anything else. I've spent lots of time over the years studying forgery workshops in China and eastern Europe and chatting with 3 different LCS proprietors about the contents of their "black boxes" of counterfeits. One has a tasteful display of fakes in their shop which is really interesting. Fake fractional junk silver exists but none I've seen yet has been convincing, and relatively little compared to fake ASEs or "silver" Morgan/Peace dollars is floating around which reinforces my preference for it.

I'm saying that you should take the 'risk' and buy generic crap from a well known bullion dealer, 10oz in particular, to build your stack up before spending high premiums of any sort.

American eagles in a monster box are 65% premium. What the fuck? This is exactly what I'm warning people against that are new to stacking. Constitutional silver is almost 45%

If you don't have at least 100oz avoid paying over 15% if possible

Paying $20 for .50c of American constitutional silver works out to be the following:
>$20 * 2 = $40 per $1 face
>$40 * 1.4 (custom multiplier for US 90% silver to find troy ounce price) = $56 per troy ounce of silver
That's much worse than silver eagles at $32 a troy ounce. If you want to stack constitutional, you can do much better. That coin is not graded, and you can even see a finger print mark on it. Unless a coin is super nice condition and slabbed, or numismatic, it's not worth paying much more than your standard constitutional/junk prices for. Don't worry, I once paid $18 for a handful of halves on accident at an auction. No real harm was done. Just learn and move on.

This is wrong. The majority of your stack should be coins with 10oz+ bars mixed in to bring down your cost average. 1 oz rounds are a stupid buy when you can get krugs, Brits, or Roos for marginally more. Unless there is an incredible deal/sale, your shouldn’t buy rounds. Large Bars are where you see the real savings on premiums. Your silver stack should be 50% coins, 40% bars, 10% rounds or something similar. Anyone who tells you to “stack weight” or “silver is silver” is probably a salesman trying to unload silvertowne buffalos.

I mostly agree. The caveat is in stacking sunshine mint rounds in the place of krugs, brits, roos, etc. They are just as semi-numi as those sovereign issued rounds because of their security validation tech and are generally recognizable. I really think SMI was trying to make a legal silver coin that could compete with the dollar, it just hasn't caught on. Not a shill, just a fan of the idea.

Dad called this morning and I had him buy 8 peace and morgan dollars for spot price for me from his LCS, they are very picky about numismatics and those dollars had rust on them from being buried in an ammo can so were tossed in their scrap bin, the contents of which they are happy to sell for melt. I soak rusty silver in CLR and it comes out looking great, regular tarnish still intact. Ask your lcs if they have a scrap/cull bucket you can look through.

Coins have fine detail and often have security features that make counterfeits easy to detect. Cheap rounds do not. Coins, especially those of your own country are easily recognized and are very liquid. This earns them a premium as well as factors relating to supply and demand of these coins. If offered a silvertowne buffalo or an ASE for trade, assuming equal value of the two, which do you take? The eagle of course. Now ask yourself why and now you know why the eagle has a premium.

In Russia and other post soviet countries, there is a saying called “china final warning.” It originated in the 2nd Taiwan strait crisis in 1958. US planes would routinely patrol the strait and china would constantly send out “final warning”. Between 1958 and 1964, they sent out at least 1000 “final warnings”. This is why today calling something a “china final warning” is calling a bluff, for these warnings have no actual consequences. This saying is also used in countries like Estonia, to give an idea of its widespread use as a saying.

Based

But China really jumped the gun here: they claimed that they'd shoot down Pelosi's plane and then did nothing. Better to just send an angry letter than to challenge your bully to a fight and then chicken out.

China is just too far behind the US on a technological level and is too dependent on importing raw materials and energy so a naval blockade by the US would defeat it.

>China is just too far behind the US on a technological level and is too dependent on importing raw materials and energy so a naval blockade by the US would defeat it.
China relies on intellectual property thief for advancement technologically. And because of this, they can only ever be equal to other nations technologically, never ahead. The US isn’t better off though. Just on the military scale, it is a sad state. The modern us military is a welfare program and because of that, the US isn’t prepared for war with anybody. The US has less industry than china, although America could revive itself on this scale and do it entirely self sufficiently, if a government came to power that genuinely wanted it to do so. China has all the industry, but it isn’t natural, nothing about china is natural. Its all coming from the outside. If foreign companies decided to move product to, say India. China’s industry would crash as the investments left it for new sweatshops. Their over 1 billion population is also unsustainable with their food production. They import something between 1/3 and 2/3s of their food. In short, their entire existence in the form they are today, is the result of a globalized world. They are the only country in history, to be this way. And when that ends, they will too. Then they’ll end up returning to how china was before the 1970s. Russia will probably end up eating up their carcass in search for other lost territories of the Russian Empire.

Your best bet would probably be to look for French Junk Silver on Ebay or at a flea market.
Spanish 1966 dated 100 Pesetas are also Silver (they have almost exactly 0.5 ozt. in Silver weight) and a lot of people are unaware of that. You might be able to pick some of those up cheaply too.

Yes I did. I clean all my coins regularly. Idgaf about numisfag and their crap.
Household methods:
Put aluminum foil shiny side up in a pan or smth, add sodium bicarbonate (baking soda, put the silver (coins or sterling) on top, add another layer of sodium bicarbonate, fill it all up with boiling hot water, and move the coins around so the bicarbonate gets everywhere. Leave it for a few min, rinse em off, dry em off, shiny as new.

>any other intel™ you can provide for spanish silver?
Before WWI, spain minted pesetas on the same standard as French Francs, 1 Peseta was 5 grams of .835 Silver and the 2 Pesetas and 50 centimos were proportionally sized. 5 Pesetas were 25 Grams of .900 Silver and usually carry a premium over normal junk. Of course, all pre-WWI Spanish Silver will carry a premium over the 1966 100 Pesetas (which has the added bonus of having a portrait of Franco if you're into that sort of thing). Spain also made some Silver commemoratives in the 80s and 90s that are probably fairly cheap on the secondary market, but I've never really looked into it.
Spain itself has worse taxes than France on Precious Metals, France gives you some sort of exemption for coins (I think) while Spain does not. I have no clue what the laws in Andorra are.

No one is ever impressed with a silver bar. I get it, it’s more undervalued (citation needed by silver fags). I choose gold. You can give someone a gold bar for their bday and they will be loyal for life. Give someone a silver bar and they will just wonder why it wasn’t a gold bar and if you’re poor. Those are four types of people that own physical gold:

1. central banks
2. nigger rappers
3. indian housewives
4. American preppers

Everyone else is buying scam paper or digital gold products. That is what is keeping the gold price suppressed. Last weekend l took a stroll through my local antique shops and found a based old man selling coins.
We started talking for a little bit and eventually he decided to break out his personal collection of slabbed coins to show off to me and the 1889-CC in his personal collection was one of his crown jewels of his collection, he also had a AU-MS slider-ish 1921 peace dollar in an alphabet slab that was kind of cool too.
Then l asked him if he was interested in selling his 1889-CC but he said he wasn't willing to part with it for less than $800 and l accepted it in heartbeat as soon as l heard his figure.
