The judge directly stated he threw a £1 damages award at craigs face when he might have awarded more, specifically because of the flurry of lies he caught craig in earlier in the case, which craig thought he could just withdraw from evidence and the judge would magically forget all about it, because he thinks the judge is dumber than himself. He thought the judge was beneath him.

That kind of 'award' is about the HEIGHT of disrespect you can receive from an english judge while he is still upholding his duty to be fair.
