I want to buy a Porsche, around $60k. I am 29 and have $200k net worth.
Is it a wise decision?

A good car can bring you a lot of joyful moments and the feeling that if you could make the decision again of buying or spending the money on something else you would buy it again. But don't buy a car based on looks or the badge. Don't buy it to impress others but buy it to impress yourself. this. A car is not an "investment" unless you have such good taste (which you don't) that you can choose what will turn out to be a classic that will appreciate in value over the next few decades, and which you can afford to keep in perfect condition by storing in a heated garage and never using except for sunday drives in the summer. When you hear about cars that appreciate in value, it's either because of unforeseeable cultural developments like the recent craze surrounding JDM cars (which drove the prices of Z cars, 90s-00s nissans, toyotas, etc thru the roof) or it's literally because someone bought a luxury car whose design/aesthetics ages well and doesn't look retarded in 20 years, which again they never drive and keep in perfect working order and always kept in a heated storage in a dry climate.

I bought a 2011 Cayman S (987.2) for around 30k about 2 years ago. The car has appreciated in value, but maintenance, taxes and insurance costs are far higher than the value appreciation. I very rarely use it & it's definitely the car I'd sell first out of the three cars I have (the other 2 are "normal" cars). I don't regret buying it though, it's still better to have a sports car when you're 30 vs when you're 55.

Everybody says this, and it's true: The novelty and Porsche-coolness of the car wears down really quickly. If you don't *enjoy* driving, it's a terrible investment in the first place. And if you do enjoy driving, a Miata is still the more sensible choice. In the Miata, you can at least floor the throttle for more than 3 seconds and don't lose your license right away.

And since this is supposed to be about finance:
- Buying a 60k car with 200k net worth is beyond retarded. Never spend more than 10% of your net worth on cars.
- Spending 60k on a car is stupid when it's 1 BTC. You could be getting close to 3 BTC today, so it's even more stupid to do it now when there are great(er) investment opportunities all around

To answer your final question
>Is it a wise decision?
No. It's definitely not wise.

Syscon will never run into inordinate fees as experienced by others. A transaction that could cost 100 dollars on the ethereum platform under enough congestion would only be a fraction of a cent under the same conditions on the syscon platform.

Why would you EVER waste money on a half nice car, BEFORE you made it? They're almost universally depreciating assets if they're ever used, they only keep their value after years of constant maintenence and then any car enthusiast is going to knock you down on price to below profit value, so your only option for resale is muppets with more money than sense, and they're all on finance at the moment.

Are they good (I.E. Filialy Pious, doubtful given parentage) siblings that just made some bad errors in their personal finances, yes work out a generous deal to alleviate their suffering without simply putting you out of pocket, otherwise if they're self absorbed cunts that lived beyond their means and just expect you to pay for their profligacy, fuck 'em

Why can't you just tell them that you got the inheritance (I assume it's from your dad's mother) and not give them anything? Why do you believe you own them something?

Oh, and there is NO such thing as a "one-time handout". They WILL come back for more.

Why buy a retarded car for clout. When you can invest 60k into ETH and MATIC. Then turn that shit into another 200k minimum next bull run? I don't understand motherfuckers sometimes.

I share the same opinion anon. Good profits should be made on the money before luxuries. I on one end would invest in the ORE/ETH LP mining program and earn passive income on the money.

You forgetting about classic american cars bro. Many of they did a 10x+ in the last 20 years.

Man you zoomies are deluded. That Chevelle SS can be worth 100k. Classics already did massive gains and will hold their gains. Unironically a good store of value. As far as so many problems you truly are deluded my friend. Old cars are so much easier to work on or have a mechanic work on than a porsche or JDM.
