No, pewter is a tin alloy used to make solid decorative and utilitarian tableware. Most steel cans nowadays are coated with plastic not lined with tin, though you might find some imported corned beef or seafood cans that are tinned and soldered the old fashioned way. Not worth recovering the tin though, just find a cheap pewter bowl or tankard somewhere to melt down.

basically, ebay has a reshipper program called "ebay global shipping program" where the international buyer prepays the duty and the American seller sends it to a reshipper in kentucky sends it duty free to canada. Some of you may remember my story of losing a 100 oz bar in my attic and looking for it for 3 days, all while sweating my balls off and moving around two layers of rolled insulation in an effort to figure out where I hid it. I even paid to rent a metal detector to try and find it. Well, I had pretty much resigned to having to wait until the Fall when it cooled down to go through systematically and replace all my insulation in order to find this little fucker because I absolutely could not find it up there.

Today I was working on my hot water heater, and when I went to clean the filter, underneath the bucket for draining the water out, there it was. I can't believe I even hid it there in the first place. Mega retard feels, but I'm glad I finally found it. St Anthony only took about 4 months to work his magic.

How do you even invest in physical copper? If you buy copper wire, pipes or plates you have to pay VAT here which is 25% and then of course the factory that made the wire and plates want to profit so they're not selling at spot either.

I can get 1 kg copper wire for about 30 dollars. It just seems too expensive to buy as an investment, you're paying way too much over spot.

both, if you know what you are adoing mining companies are a no brainer but just make sure you pick the right ones. the ease of liquidity is much better than physical copper. with physical copper i peresonally wouldnt stack much unless you are stacking something useful for industry, like wire or cable. just solid bars of copper is going to give you a serious liquidity issue becuase who the fuck is going to buy that back. but people are always going to need to update the electrical systems of their home or build new ones and that shit is goign to be at a premium when copper itself is expensive and so is energy like oil required to produce the finished product. thats my opinion anyway, take it for what its worth. im not a big copper investor but im stacking shell casings and spools of residential copper cable. but this shit is pretty far down my investment list, ive only got like $1,000 invested in that. i dont have a lot of room for storage i was just warning against buying those stupid 1 ounce copper coins for $20 that idiots fall for.

you arent buying it for the spot bullion price you are buying it as the finished product thats why the premium is higher. but the value will go up as the bullion goes up and as long as you arent buying something retarded it will still be in demand in the future, just more expensive because of higher supply copper prices and higher energy cost.

Right now it's hard to reliably make CVD diamonds that come out the right color - often they are too yellow - an the ones that are good are sold for a slight discount relative to natural diamonds. I don't really wear any stones myself, I only wear gold, but my wife likes Moissanite because it's relatively inexpensive, but looks beautiful.
