Because it's a currency and not a legitimate investment in times of rampant money printing. You store some for when SHTF along with some gold and you forget about it or you use it to buy drugs. As an investment it has been raped by even BTC the past 8 years. Even it's relatively good performance in the bear market is barley a blip on it's chart vs BTC over the past 8 years. Why anyone would hold a massive bag of it, unless they need to hide their money from a snooping SO, business partner, government, law enforcement etc, is beyond me as it's going to continue to get raped by even high cap blue chips such as ETH and BTC in terms of returns and fucking demolished by alts like SOL and NEAR.
