Not just here, but on social media, the news, even internet personalities embrace it some extent (joking with their viewers that they're just bots or paypigs). It's like some sort of advanced brain washing technique that the CIA realized to be useful that people seemed to pick up on in the internet age. It seems to have profound effects. Mass demoralization chips away at people's psyche over time eventually breaking or making them completely give up. How does one overcome it in a financial perspective like when pursuing a demanding and difficult career? Some days I genuinely feel demoralized and unable to do anything, but I feel like those days are worth pushing through the most. I'm thinking people also push demoralization thinking that it may help them in their own search for a great job as it may ward off potential threats in a competitive field.

i noticed it too. i was feeling the weight of it, probably still am. but at least now i've woken up to the demoralizing manipulation. its funny, kinda, that it gets to the point where you keep reading the same things over and over and your brain suddenly goes "uughh this again?" and it kind of snaps back to reality.
