The only negative thing I can think of is that ICP is not very decentralized. You need special servers to host a node, these servers are only given out by Dfinity. Also you need special software, which is also only given out by Dfinity.
Other than that it is the most advanced blockchain so far.

There is a negative feedback loop that started with organized FUD from Arkham(That was funded by whom?) and promoted by NYT. Anyone who has heard of ICP has heard of Arkham.. And the ICP-PERP being release 4 days before the ICP token. Its a snowball effect, everyone looks at price action to determine whether project is good or bad.

Special Nodes shouldn't be necessary in all honesty. There should be spec requirements that are needed and that should be it. Currently anyone who is a node provider has the capacity to see what is in their nodes. Which would obviously be a problem if anyone were to host their own through badlands. Another thing is node provider rewards for obvious reasons.
