My biggest issue with ICP is they claim its "web speed" but its not. Its quite a bit slower and still buggy when I use the handful of applications powered by ICP. Its still a cool project though, I think that Dfinity truly are looking long term to reach the trilly dollar mcap. It might take 20 or 30 years even.

if you read the tech, Queries are milliseconds, and writes are 1-2 second finality. The delay you see on sites like seachan are because of the dev not optimizing, not because of the underlying tech.

It does feel like using the internet in 1998 but that is part of the issue with the ICP name and marketing.
We are comparing ICP to the internet and seeing it is slower therefore not as good.

What we should be doing is comparing the websites to decentralised dapps and the interactions with plug wallet to metamask

When you consider how slow and clunky using fucken metamask and aave is or metamask and god's unchained is then compare that speed to plug wallet and whatever whatever dapp/website ICP comes out as alot smoother.

ICP doesn't even need to work out. The volume it had on futures from ATH to the $220 range vs now speaks for itself. Something about the programs that handle futures contracts in crypto love going back to major buy zones. The thing that separated coins making it from 2017 to 2020 and having a re-pump was as clear as futures listing vs no futures listing.

That on top of the "ICP fixes this" meme. It's just a good buy right now with high returns potential when crypto decides to fly next time.

ICP doesn't have to be the future of the internet, just a good coin to throw chips in for a hopeful x50.
