ITT we discuss investing for retirement. Personally I have a Roth IRA through E*trade.
Stocks in focusing on stacking
>INTC
The dividend yield at current SP is very attractive and I believe there is room for some upside. Working towards 200 shares to start selling calls on it
>QYLD
This distributes nearly 1% a month. Currently have 200 shares and set on DRIP. (Each 100 shares nets about 1 share per month after dividend buyback
>FCEL
Purely speculative, I plan on acquiring around 500 shares and then letting it sit

What I’m looking for is a small or mid cap ETF to start stacking.

What's the point of taking Roth? Are you expecting to be paying higher taxes on your retirement than you do on your income now?

All Century Portfolio

5 percent U.S. REITs
5 percent U.S. small cap value
15 percent Pacific equities
15 percent European equities
10 percent U.S. TIPs
10 percent U.S. high yield corpbonds
20 percent U.S. total bondmarket

Classic 60/40, go less bonds if younger. Simple as.

Yes absolutely. It’s completely tax advantaged. I’m going pretty dividend heavy right now so all of those dividends hitting arent taxed. When I build up enough cash over the next few years I’ll have a dedicated day trading amount to play with. I’ll avoid taxes on all of those short term trades. Another advantage of the Roth is you can withdrawal your contributions at any time tax free so it acts as an emergency savings account. Say you’ve been maxing for ten years, that means you can take out $60,000 if you want to invest in a house or other private equity.

This is my 401k, but same idea
>90% 2055 retirement target fund
>5% large cap equities
>5% foreign equities
Roth is good as well, since Congress may not renew the Trump tax cuts in 2025.

My wife is 100% in target 2055 retirement. As far as I know she doesn’t have an option to select her own securities. Her employer matches 100% up to 4% of her salary.

The ONLY retirement idea/plan i know of is a charitble trust remainder, but you need at least 7 figures for it to be worth a shit.
