Its better for risk management. Lots of people bought the "bottom" and are now bagholding a -50% loss. Others used leverage and got rekt. If you're getting return on stablecoin you're still in the game and have something always growing.

The biggest would probably be the ability to perform micro transactions. Imagine being a poor third worlder and buying a single stick of gum or a cigarette. BSV allows this because it scales which brings transactions fees down to virtually free for payments.
You also have the notion of commoditizing the world's data and storing it all on a single chain which will open up so many business opportunities. Imagine paying 25¢ to read all article instead of being bombarded with ads or having to subscribe for a month.
There's not really a single unique selling point. It's like asking what the USP of the internet is. Everyone will have a different answer. Bitcoin is simply plumbing, it's up to us to give it value.

>> No.50501066

>>50500931
>QRD on this, is it actually worth it instead of gambling?
Safest possible option. Expect 10% annual returns. Of course, you'd need to invest much more money than in normal investments.
Nothing is stopping you from doing both however.

>> No.50501076

>>50501027
>There's not really a single unique selling point
Then why would someone buy it if there isn't a USP? Other chains provide extremely low transactions fees etc, none of this seems revolutionary compared to what is already out there.
>It's like asking what the USP of the internet is
No it isn't, because there is only one internet, you don't have to 'sell' the idea of it, it's an entire eco system that doesn't have rivals doing the same thing.

>> No.50501154

>>50501076
There should only be a single global blockchain, just like there is only a single internet. You can have your other hobby chains, but they will never gain global adoption because they don't scale. Bitcoin does everything. We don't need a chain for payments and another one for smart contacts and another one for file storage, etc. As soon as you understand this you'll realize how useless and redundant this entire ecosystem is.

This whole decentralization meme needs to die. You can only decentralize so much before it becomes useless and hinders the network. I'm sorry but you can't run something of this size on a bunch of raspberry pis. You need massive data centers to handle the bandwidth required. Just like we have ISPs, we'll need dedicated miners to create and process these massive blocks. Everything else sits on higher layers which then interact directly with the miners. This is why IPv6 and SPV will be so important when it comes to scaling.
