Oldfag here, this is my fourth catastrophic recession as an adult. The first in 99. It will be fine. Go back to school if there are no jobs. It honestly doesn't matter all that much. Plus we are already part way through the recession, because of how we keep track of it. If you get fired, enjoy the time off. There's no such thing as climbing the corporate ladder anymore, so you'll eventually be better off finding a new company in a couple of years.
