Not sure about crypto.com, but I know with Kraken that depends on how much of the verification process you go through. With just verifying your bank account, I believe that gets you a withdrawal limit of $9k/day. If you go one step further and verify with some form of identification that will give you a $100k/day limit up to $500k/month. If you move on to the last step which I believe involves verifying some other financial info that can take 4-5 days (or so they claim), then you supposedly have an unlimited amount you can withdraw to your bank account. As far as selling it all immediately you should be ok exit liquidity-wise since we're anticipating an absolute feeding frenzy of fomo of this breaks one cent. Having a "mandatory reporting limit" is a myth when it comes to capital gains. Any time you sell crypto, exchange one crypto to another, or purchase something with crypto, that is a taxable event regardless of the amount (again, in the US). You technically have to report everything, so it's best to just cash out everything at once instead of risking losing your gainz once the pump inevitably wears down. I only suggested the stablecoin approach as a backup in the event there isn't enough liquidity for you to cash out at once. In an event like this where normies will be jumping on the fomo train from 1c to $1 I don't think that would be an issue. I know plenty of anons will laugh at me for even considering the tax implications of a crypto transaction, but I personally don't mess around with the tax man.

Yes that's true but in a case like this where I and many others hold >30M LUNC then you are extremely likely to lose more by not cashing in at the peak compared to just paying the short-term capital gains tax for >$1M realized gains if/when LUNC reaches $1. So if it reaches $1 and I cash out immediately I have like $20M after taxes but if you wait to cash out slowly it's extremely likely it will crash down to a couple cents like DOGE in which case I'm left with a few hundred thousand.

Obviously, USDT could also be slightly under a dollar, at which point you'd have a loss, and not owe any taxes on that transaction. But you'd also lose a little bit of your gains.

In other words, your total tax liability under the above hypothetical is $333,333
