I used to think ranches are cuck-sheds, but they are the cheapest to build/maintain, and it doesn't really make sense to build up/down if there is enough land on the lot.

I guess there is still a bit more security to a 2nd floor due to the stairs choke, but that's really a moot point for the most part. Plus ranches probably have way better sound isolation due to being so spread out. Kind of based.
