The idea is that you make the games themselves NFTs tied to an IPFS link. The game launches from your wallet, and attempts to open the IPFS link. If you have the data downloaded already, the game starts. I sold a share to test the system a few months back, it gets done quickly. I had the cash in my account from the transfer the next business day. I have since rebought that share and many more like it. If you're talking about selling at phone number prices, market orders should go at whatever the current NBBO price is even if it's higher than the cap. Long-term limit orders are capped because they're only processed by one broker and that broker has that limit in place - and again, if NBBO was higher than that limit you would still transact the sell at the NBBO instead of whatever price you had set. They've also explicitly stated that when the time comes if necessary they can raise the limit on limit sell orders by switching to a different broker to process their orders. All that said I don't think there will be MOASS until shit is moved to a tokenized system, which holding shares in direct-registered format will make receiving them in that tokenized format far far easier than holding them with a broker where they're not actually yours or in your name no matter what hoops you jump through to try and make sure that is the case.

Do as you wish, this is how it all works according to my best knowledge after doing a good bit of research and testing things myself.

I do not see any scenario wherein GME is still traded on the existing system and it is allowed to have actual, natural price discovery at all. Otherwise it would already be at minimum in the four figure range if not higher. Everything is held down by algorithms and other faggotry of the highest orders. Corrupt consultant groups and other forms of manipulation will see to that happening as much and as long as possible. It's steep for an old game, but I don't personally mind it so much since in this case it's not just a repackaged emulation where fans and modders have already done an objectively better job. It's a golden age SquareSoft game that was never officially localized remade in a new engine with new assets and music made for it. I also think the devs busting their asses on a project that had almost no chance of not being buried by modern Square Enix deserve the support.
