How did we go from

>Ok thats it! the supercycle is here, Bitcoin is going to millions of dollars per coin now, I know it sucks, but you basically have to buy in now, even if its at 50k+, yeah its shit buying so high, but its the supercycle, 50k isn't much when its going to millions, just buy now or cry later when you miss out on easy-millions, you should also invest in these L2s, they're going to be doing big stuff, and this the cheapest they'll ever be!

or

>Ok thats it! the pandemic has caused a shift in housing, the housing boom during covid of is the new norm, here's a list of 20 reasons why housing will now go up 20-30% per year forever, and yes, these are all 100% legitimate reasons, and you should be scared, if you dont FOMO into the market now and just buy anything, you literally will never own your own home, so you better just get in now, 100% clearance rate baby!

To now....
>eh, i never really cared about bitcoin lol
>uh, suddenly im not really worried about being priced out of owning a home, clearance rates down to 40-50%

How the fuck did sentiment go from 1 extreme to the other?

>> No.50392226

I know youre all gona say
>Muh fed tightening

But that cant be the only reason why.

How does sentiment completely die for MILLIONS upon MILLION of investors, just because a few big fat whales decided to cash the fuck out because they got spooked by the fed?

Why cant the millions upon millions of normies just keep themselves hyped up to keep fomoing despite a few big whales cashing out?

>> No.50392245

simple, FOMO, FUD, complacency / disillusionment, in that order

I think I just answered my own question: Retail Normies dont move markets. All the bubbles and crashes are created by a few big whales. Thats it.....fuck

This is how normies reacting to bull and bear markets. It's simple. Most people are laughing and they say things like "oh I said you it's a ponzi kek!!" The same people will buy back when we are above 40k and 60k.

I think whales create in every market cycle the first big wave and then normies join late.

>>50392270
yes that is exactly what happens. Just think about how the last bull run started. How many big players bought in at sub $10k? They just light the fire so to speak.

no one knows what the fuck they are talking about.

Dont you remember all those lists of reasons people were claiming why Property values would now be going up 20-30% per year forever?

There was some massive leddit thread about it, the guy literally wrote up some full on essay about it, with like 20+ different reasons why, all with completely logical and believable reasons, and like 10 paragraphs for each and every single reason.

Basically like it was a perfect storm, and that this was it, that property ownership would become rare if anyone who doesn't buy soon.

>from 0% rates to raising them quickly
>end of decades long QE and initiation of QT
Simple as

>> No.50392642

Guys I should mention, a lot of the reasons people claimed that "THIS IS IT, SUPERCYCLE" was because they claimed the FED would NOT be able to ever raise rates ever again, as it would mean the US wont be able to pay its debts, therefore rates will never be raised, therefore crypto and property is entering a supercycle that will never end

>> No.50392670

>>50392195
I think more former crypto enthusiasts are becoming market maker realists and realize that it isn't the free market that it once was (was it ever though?). What you call a "whale" has been called market making for who knows how long. Silly goyims finally waking up

I really don't understand how you don't make at least 5mm and just fuck off to a few acres to build your little diney land and never worry about this bullshit again. Have a bunch of kids, pay some Mexicans 4/hr to raise chickens for you. Modern society is just an anxiety enducing mess with age old boomers making all the decision.

People were posting the same shit here man.

You dont remember those massively long walls of text on here saying why crypto or property is now in a supercycle and 10 post writeup of why its buy now or miss out forever

And whales move according to muh fed tightening, because the fed buys their debt and offers them treasury bonds.
