All else equal you will make more on share appreciation and no dividend than with dividend reinvesting. The money you would have gotten from a dividend is held by the company and reinvested for you tax free. If you want a little extra juice try selling covered calls. Or just invest some of your paycheck every month

Yeah in parliamentary systems, you have to form a coalition. Voting is basically a formality because when you have a coalition with a majority, you can pretty much pass whatever you want. But if you lose part of the coalition, you can't pass anything anymore since they will be against you and vote against anything you propose.

It's a very different system. It's not like the US system that tries to have checks against power by needing the minority party a lot of the time. It's good for passing more legislation. It's also bad because it passes more legislation.

You don't get it. There is no arbitrage. The money that is paid in dividends comes out of the share price. You are being forced to sell a little bit at a time then you think you're smart because you then turn around and buy back in. Yet you think you are ahead. You are getting beat the amount in taxes. That's the inefficiency of dividends. THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH

like lets say your a neet collecting dividents do pay rent and expenses.
could you halt collecing dividends and keep the money invested if you pick up a fun, part time job for a few months and live off that?

or lets say you go homeless, garbage-eating traveler for a few months so you have no need for the money provided by dividends at that time. could you not collect your dividends and keep the money stacking on itself until you go back to normal-expense living?
