As an African expat myself, I wouldn't want to go back because of how unstable, corrupt, and divisive the entire continent is. We can't seem to shake off our tribal mentalities and agree to work under unified governments, and while I get that it takes people like me to fix that problem, I would most likely end up as a statistic before being able to do anything resembling a meaningful change. Locals also dont like Westernized white-talking blacks like me and would stone me over it.

Africa has near Z E R O value added, all they do is extract raw resources and import food, electricity, electronics, etc.
Already this year, you're going to see massive famines and political upheavals in the Middle East and Africa. It's not going to get better, Russia is systematically destroying Ukrainian agriculture so Ukraine is going to be a net importer instead of exporter for the next few years. We're also dealing with worldwide fertilizer shortages. When supply of food is low and demand is still high, people are going to go to places that are willing to pay hand over fist for food (China is the main example). Africa is done for, the Bretton Woods era of globalization allowed for massive growth in the undeveloped world, but it is coming to a quick close. It's already started in places like Sri Lanka, expect a LOT more places to implode over this decade.
