Despite it's flaws, (or rather, it's unfinished state), PP is a game I've actually replayed a few times since it basically solves every one of my personal complaints about XCOM2.

I think the single biggest thing the game needs for replayability is randomly generated maps, like the XCOM2 "Parcel" system. Non-random maps are fine, but if they're going to use them they desperately need more than the pitiful map pool per mission.
Other than that, the modular enemy system actually lends itself to mods very well, you can hypothetically make entirely new enemy classes or just make new limb types for the existing ones.
