You're not wrong tho, most if not every nft play to earn game flopped or is going to flop a week after release. The reason? there is no actual motive for people to hodl the money they can earn. Why would you want that sort of risk? you can play, earn a lot of money and the logical course of action is to sell that. Even if the devs have some sort of hodl rewards, on the long run it always destroys the liquidity. That's why every big nft enthusiast moved to nft services and projects with real usecases like lovelace
Also most of the nft games are actual games that were previously in development and the devs just switched towards a p2e engine to try and make more money
