And personally, I think the JM bars are better. More uniform shape. Easier to store. Scottsdale bars are way overdone. A lot of them are machined, which increases price. I've never ordered bars from them, but the deals on Tridents I have a hard time passing up, and own 60oz of them. Another 60 when the ore is mined, refined, blanks are made, and finally struck. Ordered on the 2nd. Should have them sometime around Christmas, if I'm lucky.

1. IT'S NOT MONEY. IT USED TO BE. At the end of the day, all this "worthless fiat" is what your going to be trading all the silver for at the end of the day IF it ever goes above its max. No company, accepts silver as payment (unless its constitutional i.e pre-1964 coins). You can't pay your rent, car, mortgage, [insert literally every bill and expense you can imagine here]. This delusional idea that your going to be some baron who "saw the writing on the wall" after an economic collapse (which a SHOCKING amount of you seem genuinely desperate for) is frankly, terrifying and sickening.

2.The likelihood that someone is going to want your shiny coin when they are starving is so unlikely its almost a moot point....WHAT IS LIKELY is that they splatter your brains on the wall, toss your silver aside and grab your food, ammo, and weapons (hopefully you have THAT stocked) .

3. Silver is used in technology! Oh wowzers no shit! Do you think these big tech companies are gonna be knocking on your door, 100000000000 dollar check in hand to get it from you?? Do you honestly believe that? No, they are gonna go drill another mine in Sardinia or Africa and get it straight from the source. Big time buyers watch the spot price like a hawk but the little guys that buy a few grams / ounces usually do it at a set price. Nugget gold is way different though, that only going up in value. We used to get a 15% premium on nugget material but now (depending again on whos buying) you can get up to %50 premium! Its nuts, being driven by jewelers looking for course material but no supply lately. Anything over 10 grams right now is going for $1000-1500 easily or often far higher for really good looking nugs.

It's a depth-pf-field issue. With the tiny apertures of phone cameras, there isn't a plane of focus, it's a spherical shell centered on the lens. If you take a picture of the inside of a ball, it'll all be in focus. There are two ways to mitigate that: close down the iris (but the tiny lens is already... tiny), or get farther from the object and use a zoom (basically enlarge the sphere). It's still not easy to do macro. You've seen the setup I use for my pics, right? And that's to get the flat surfaces of coins and bars. The radical macro photographers might take a few pictures manually focused at different planes and then use software to merge the focused parts into one picture. Taking pics of small 3D objects is not a trivial pursuit. Look at the granite plate in this pic. You can see how a somewhat serious camera focuses at f22, a very small aperture.
