If there are still idiots out there with no skills, no talents, low IQs, as long as they’re still out there “calling” bottoms as if they have any knowledge of financial markets, this isn’t over.

Because all they’re doing is sitting on their asses waiti mg for Bitcoin and other assorted nonsense that doesn’t do anything, that doesn’t provide any value to humanity, to start inexplicably going up in value so they can sit on their asses and get rich. It’s not coming back. You are not some hyper rational savant that “calls” the bottom, you are an idiot that got pulled into a FOMO driven speculative mania and you are holding a worthless internet token.

I explained this months ago, I’m explaining it again now, this stuff isn’t coming back as long as you’re still here certain that it is. The sign that it MIGHT come back is when you’ve declared it to be worthless, when you’ve left and moved on with your life. The “next cycle” isn’t coming.

>It all started in February 2021, with a radio advert for Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency promoted by Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla. Intrigued, Roy started Googling, eventually using his credit card to make an initial investment of €2,500 (£2,200) in a range of cryptocurrencies. The value of Roy’s portfolio climbed to €8,000, then €100,000, then €525,000. Roy started spending all his time watching YouTube videos and speaking to other cryptocurrency enthusiasts in private groups on the messaging app Telegram. He had been treated for cocaine and alcohol addiction twice, but by 2021 he was sober and working as an addiction counsellor. In May, jobless and broke, Roy checked into Castle Craig, one of the only centres in the world that treats cryptocurrency addiction. (He lost his job when he relapsed; his rehab fees are covered by medical insurance.) His cryptocurrency portfolio is worth about €300.

> Bargaining. Vahid, a 31-year-old from London, has used Twitter to plead for his money with Alex Mashinsky, the founder of Celsius. Vahid’s life savings, more than £50,000 in cryptocurrency, is locked in his Celsius account. Vahid had planned to use the money to start a business or buy a house. For support, he spends his time on conference calls with other Celsius victims; I listen in to one.

>“I couldn’t eat or sleep for two nights,” says Alla Driksne, a 34-year-old chef from London. “I got sick from the stress.” She has lost her life savings – a six-figure sum – in the Celsius freeze.
>But he didn’t listen. “They call it ‘being an alpha’,” he says. “You have to be on Twitter, and follow the right people, and be in the right Discord channel. You listen to the right chatrooms. It makes you feel so special.”

I dont think it is the end of crypto, it will have its usecases, but it is now time for mature projects that can be adopted. Not fucking dogcoins and other shit.

>If there are still idiots out there with no skills, no talents, low IQs, as long as they’re still out there “calling” bottoms as if they have any knowledge of financial markets, this isn’t over.
there's possibly been a shift in real world fundamentals you and others haven't taken into account that may obsolete pleb sentiment as a metric, especially to the downside, that being the weird reality in the west post covid, where its been normalised for people to live off government gibs and the normalisation of living in poverty, hiding in a box apartment allowing yourself to get lost in free entertainment.
going totally broke isn't necessarily a life or death (or even a lifestyle altering) situation for pretty much anyone besides those who have already made it, nobody is about to starve to death if investments fail and most young people are already denied access to the traditional social mobility routes through life (40 year career, access to property early, a safe and stable welcoming society around them) and are thus accepting of the situation.
people don't necessarily see crypto investments as either leapfrogging into their future anymore (ie a wealth shortcut v the traditional career+savings) nor as a way to break free from a life of misery, so what's to fear. you were always going to be poor anyway and bejng poor doesn't mean what it used to mean.

It's not that crypto is useless and will die - it has certain use cases, and the technology will certainly adapt to those use cases.

It's that the reality of crypto as a giant speculative bubble of investors buying to sell higher to other investors while ultimately addict no value to anything needs to end for the actual usefulness of crypto to actually exist.

It's not that crypto needs to due, it's that all the hordes of retards who invested during the bubble need to think it's dead and fuck off.

it hasn't since I was born. Im 36. Dad loses job dot com bubble. Then 9/11 when I am sophomore. Then 2008 collapse 4 years after graduating high school when my grade supposed to finish college. Then occupy wallstreet. Now its 2013 and SPY has finally recovered from 2008 oil is also 100$ a barrel. Blah blah blah war after war, fucking immigrants. BTC 1.5k 2015 no one cares. Most families are divorced parents one paying child support to the other while the other starts a new family. No one has any investments that isn't 401k. They get some money from relatives dying by the time they are ~40s which was roughly 2015. Then VIX hits ~40, 5 times in ten years from 2010 to 2020. Now the flu scares everyone VIX goes to 80. But muh bull run for the last 25 years!!! ya only if you never sold and didnt get scared after each time it look like the market was going to implode. The 90s was the most stable the market ever was. No one has any fuckin idea wtf is going on or what is going to happen. Its all so obvious in hindsight. If you didn't grow up with money you are financially illiterate. I didn't learn shit until the last two years had to teach myself and make friends with upper middle class people. Families are completely destroyed, most have 0 safety net so they have no idea how to hold on to investments. The culture is unstable and confused.

I have recently figured my shit out and my house hold income is a quarter mil a year. I'm almost fucking 40.

here's the thing OP
you have to understand that as the dollar increases in value/scarcity due to QT, countries with dollar-denominated debt explodes
the fed has to eventually return to QE and create even more inflation or countries around the world will literally implode
why would the fed care you ask?
because if countries see their financial system at risk because the fed does not cooperate, then they will just abandon the dollar
so either the fed continues QT, which would kill the dollar faster
or it pivots to QE which would give it a longer life
So they will pivot and the bottom is in and we will pump soon

The same accusations of "worthlessness" can be said of any fiat currency except those currencies can be created out of thin air. They can also only be created by one entity. Counterfeiting is prevented by using the violence of the state to protect against it.

Bitcoin, alto technically worthless, cannot be created out of thin air under any circumstances. It cannot be inflated based on political whim and requires no military protection to maintain its authenticity.

The main problem with your proposition is how highly correlated crypto and the rest of the markets have become. The S&P500 bottom isn't that far off (and has potentially already occurred), and when the big boy markets start to rise again you can be certain that crypto will as well.

I'm not a moonboy, just stating simple truths. I also doubt that crypto will see gains like it did in the past.

its basic common sense stuff. Getting out of a poor person mindset mostly. Saving money is retarded, just need to make more money. Lying on my resume has been the most helpful. I also use to be deathly afraid of credit cards I would take auto title loans all the time instead. I always paid them off but the rates were insane. I would listen to other people (parents) about finance and debt. They were generally wrong. If I had invested very small amounts of money into things I wanted like AMD and BTC I would have had an extra 50k or more easily. Being able to have 50k isn't "life changing" but it is actually. Now you have a nice chunk to invest and don't feel like a complete loser. Just getting some wins in would have given me confidence to carry through on more investments and being able to hold. My dad said investing was worthless unless it was 1k. I had $300 to spare and could have invested that and it would have been enough. Basically you need to find friends that aren't idiots and come from some amount of money. They might still be idiots when it comes to what to invest in but they still know how to hold. They don't see 10k-50k as a lot of money and neither should you.

A lot of my problems stemmed from issues with my mother. Which led to shitty relationships with women that drained my money. Drop shitty deadbeat friends, and drop shitty women draining your money and sanity. Unless your parents are successful they have no idea wtf they are talking about. Even if they are take what they say with a grain of salt.

i've never seen him be bullish about anything but i don't follow him closely
he was right once about housing being a bubble (although he was years early) and so somehow he thinks everything is always a bubble
calling a crash five years before it happens doesn't make you right either - you missed 5 years of gains and are a bad investor

he is not saying crypto wil be dead. When BTC reached 20k in 2017 to then fall down to 3k in 2018, the general consensus was crypto was a scam and any hope was extinguished, the guys that thought they were buying the dip at 12k, then 9k then 6k got rekt and would have panic sold at 3k only the diamond hands held on and added more BTC at this range as they had full faith crypto will rebound. It is easy for you to say I will buy the dip now, but when BTC keeps going lower each then the mentality will chnage and soon enough you will sell and close your Binance account telling yourself to never fall for crypto again.

Burry was in GME during the crash in 2020q1 at pretty much the bottom, bought because it was a good value and not due to short interest, sold around $40 up 10x rather than risk holding through the unpredictability of the squeeze. Imagine thinking Burry reads ZH for stock tips

Either retarded zoomer or Pajeet shill. There is zero value in a digital script backed by washout zoomers and third world poos. Value is in might; poor wagies have zero might, not the ability to effectuate change on a system. USD is backed by oil and guns and bogus degrees/experts. Your garbage meme tokens warrant no trust and everyone has caught on. There is zero use case. Cope and get a higher IQ.

They literally got their normie pump in 2020. It won't happen again. Everyone knows it's a scam, hence why they desperately have to keep shilling in hopes of an exit pump. Parents are now advising their kids to avoid it. You have shills on Bloomberg dicking on it 24/7. Who do you think people trust more? Brown hand and former McDonald washouts or some "expert" Jew on television? They were doomed from the very beginning. EVEN IF crypto had any use case (which it doesn't), that shit would be shut down so quick, nor would any nation EVER invest in an existing chain they can't control. It's just so tiresome and asinine seeing these losers shill. It's like the old multilevel marketing scheme shillers. "Here's Brad, 30yo douchebag who used to slave away, now he's got a BMW and bitches from selling energy drinks! BE A FUCKING CHAD LIKE BRAD!"
We're at the point where only the poorest and dumbest are still invested in this scheme. They keep pouring what little they have into it to keep their dreams from imploding. Sad.

Yeah, because the "dipper their toes" with a $20 purchase a year ago saying "but if it gets to $1 I'll be rich!"

So of course they know they still have it. But they aren't buying more, they aren't DCA, they aren't watching charts or listening to business shows. They probably don't even know that they're in the red and have lost money. But of course if you ask them they'll remember that they made a purchase. It's not removed from their memory. It's just not on their mind right now.

Things will never change because we will never let ourselves get to the level of an economically developing country.

People are too afraid to ask for more money and walk out of their jobs because the majority of people have less than 1 month's rent saved at any given time. So they don't have the leverage to walk out.

Instead, we just continue to get paid less and less until we enter a form of perpetual poverty or government handouts. And then you're comfy. So you'll never revolt then either. Especially because you risk becoming homeless or worse. And that's a risk the majority of people aren't willing to take. You currently have your 500sqft apartment.

And the one time when there were job walk offs (covid), the gov publicly stated they would increase immigration specifically to get people working the jobs that we walked out of for paying too little. I can't blame the immigrants themselves. The gov is siding with the elites by allowing it to happen.

The game is, and always was, rigged.

dont worry about it anon, most of us here are broken or otherwise damaged
but i can concur with the general sentiment: the hardest hurdle to overcome is unlearning an entire youth of normie indoctrination
namely deferring to authority and being scared of investing money, its amazing how normie brains fry when their folio goes down a tiny bit from buy in
in the end you either are very smart yourself or you need a decent mentor, i got lucky with joining a frat in college and seeing my parents for the abysmal losers they are when i visited my bros parents and could compare
as such the second important take away as you mentioned only take advise from people that are above you in station, if you are 50 and still waging with no plan for retirement you lost any and all power to give advise
