how does one "directly integrate" bitcoin into ICP?
BTC is it's own chain and doesn't give a shit about ICP
are people just supposed to hand dfinity their btc and it will transform into some magical hybrid?
um.. no thanks

it means that you can use btc from icp just as you might use btc normally. it's got nothing to do with handing 'dfinity your btc'

god how did you come up with such a fucking retarded take. no wonder this place sucks, it's full of gas station working dorks like you.

icp will never have access to your private key. you are a gas station working wagie.

being completely and utterly fucking retarded isn't something to be proud of you spastic reprobate. you exist at the lowest level of society. stay there.

btc only does one thing, and that's move btc from one address to another
and the only way to move btc is with a private key
not sure what your "integration" is supposed to achieve other than hype some tech-nothingburger

I stopped spoonfeeding a long time ago because either you get it or you don't, but I'll make an exception.
Bitcoin natively doesn't have any meaningful smart contract capability so to engage in smart contracts on other chains such as avax, you do that by handing over your real bitcoin to a vulnerable bridge to wrap your bitcoin & use paper bitcoin IOUs to engage with the smart contracts built on avax.
obviously, a bitcoin maxi, or any sane fund manager who doesn't want to lose his capital to another bridge hack, wouldn't want to give up his digital gold for paper IOUs. dfinity solves that.
the btc integration allows you to use actual, unwrapped bitcoin to engage with icp smart contracts (that are better than any you can build on ethereum by the way) without ever losing control of your bitcoin. you simply CAN'T do that on other chains because they rely on centralized hosting services so you can't store bitcoin private keys on them.
if you can't see the implications of this, even if you aren't planning to buy any icp, ngmi

I'm all in. My only concern is Kikeman is obviously a state actor with the entire purpose of suppressing ICP. Powerful figures are destroying it.

Biometric log in means that you will never get hacked or suffer identity theft again. ICP has the best tech in crypto hands down and it will pump hard once DeFi goes live.

Avalanche has the best Bridges, they use an improved version of SGX so it works without a custodian and trustless. Its safe.
The Ethereum Bridge to Avalanche is working in a very similar way and wasnt hacked or drained in any way and is working fine for over a year and has moved Billions so far.
