What does "abstraction" mean in the context of the Enterprise abstraction layer? It means that businesses/legacy institutions/devs just have to plug into the Chainlink "one stop shop" and Chainlink will abstract away the problem of the constantly shifting sea of settlement layers on the backend.
For Chainlink to have that capacity it needs to be seamlessly communicating between all of those back end layers, and to do this is needs CCIP, both for token transfers and for messaging.
Staking is obviously the game theoretical component underwriting the trustworthiness of the whole system, but is not absolutely necessary at launch to the extent that CCIP is absolutely necessary to have an enterprise abstraction layer.
