I think a lot of it is about weaponizing your autism or obsession. Tolkien was autistic about languages and epics so he wrote a fantasy epic so he could create his own language. A lot of the big improoover speakers talk about having a magnificent obsession That motivates you. I've been reading The Happiness of Pursuit and there seems to be a lot of fulfillment in taking your into and attaching a number or crazy goal like visit every country or baseball stadium or see every bird. You could play a thousand games or climb every mountain in a state or make 100 friends or wack off a thousand times in a month. There seems to be an innate drive to create autistic goals and if you meet them make even more autistic goals. You're on biz so you could try to accumulate x amount of coins or get one of every crypto. Life is like Calvinball where you need to make up new rules to make it fun.

If you were in a medieval oubliette I would understand wanting to just die, life would not be worth it, but no matter how shitty it gets you can do things like look at flowers and plants, look at the sky, eat a decent meal and pray or give thanks to the God of all reality before you really take time to enjoy it
even if you're say starving, you can fast and enjoy the wonderful clarity of mind it brings you and see spiritual truths that some people say can only be seen after some fasting
And the planet is not fucked over completely yet, there's no intelligence smarter than us that we know of or created by us, so there's no one we have to worry about ruling over us except God, no one's genetically engineering people on a mass scale, life is good
