someone had said CS won't give you split shares. Do you have to call them ahead of the split or do you have a timeframe afterwards to request shares instead of money?

For anyone here using STAKE, if you own fractional shares you will be getting 4 for 1 still. They will not be giving cash equivalents. You will get 4 for 1 (so if you owned 0.2 shares you’d end up with 0.6 shares post split).

I reached out to them because I noticed some of the fags on Reddit were saying that fractional shares might get cash equivalents depending on which broker they are with. I can confirm with Stake that that is not the case.

If you are with stake also make sure you have stock lending turned off (go to settings > trade settings > stock lending setting and make sure you are toggled off. It should say “your account will not be enrolled in stock lending” underneath the button).
