It’s all good, I dont need the money for anything at the moment. Not to say it isn’t a substantial sum for me, but I’m invested in a lot of other spaces and have cash reserves in tow once copper signals a reversal and thus a bullish tailwind for the rest of commodities

When it hit 9, I sold a 14 strike and when it hit 6 I sold a 9 strike. Got lucky.
My average is 6.10, and I sold a 6 strike recently since the prem would offset the difference in my favor (eg not sold at a loss).

I shared some info late last thread on the *potential* EU inclusion of Nuclear, seems like it will pass despite opposition from greenfags. But as we’ve observed in prior months, even the most bullish news in the uranium space hasn’t been enough to sway more investors into the space, and tightening money supply plus increased rates spells trouble for non-producers in the meantime.

Through all this, the fundamentals remain in tact and I’m fully of the belief we will be returning to ATHs in U308 spot and URNM in due time.

We had a nice rebound yesterday led by copper and zinc, with modest gains in gold, silver and oil.

Looking at the copper chart (on mobile, can’t do tradingview chart), it seems as though this nice bounce could be sold on the rip and allow longs to liquidate back down to $3 demand zone. $3 for me would be a signal
to begin adding to positions in other industrial metals as I would think a bounce would occur back towards $4+ and indicate inflation/ risk-on and therefore commodities in general are back on the menu.

We have CPI, PPI, retail sales and other important metrics being released next week that might give copper traders some more conviction to take the price lower provided those numbers come in over consensus estimates and further justify Fed tightening which will bring about more trading illiquidity and recessionary downside for commodities.

When you factor in the USDs meteoric rise as of late, coupled with the risk-off trade we’re seeing, gold has held up remarkably. Bullish signal for me.

Of course there are recent geopolitical considerations that would make you wonder why isn’t gold well north of $2500, let alone $1800. Well I look at it as a floor for that element of the bull case since without the geopolitical risk being priced in, alongside the inflationary pressures that come with the ill-advised retaliatory sanctions levied against the worlds premier commodities exporter make for a solid tailwind for gold from here on out.

I’m not sure what you are referring to, maybe Iranian supply? Otherwise maybe send a link to this 8m barrel story, I haven’t heard of this.

The chart basically shows we are at dangerously low levels on a historic basis, coupled with refining capacity restrictions this could get ugly.

Draining the SPR for pump relief and then subsequently giving out “inflation checks” really highlights the ineptitude of the Dept. of Energy, and by extension the Biden administration. It’s the same dilemma as price caps. Yea you’ll maybe shave some near-term pain off the consumer, but in the long run it discourages capital allocation into these sectors that desperately need the investment inflows. Exxon and the like will just continue share buybacks and cease new drilling programs since there was already enough headwinds for them with ESG without price caps.

Athabasca is in a continued downtrend. You can see on the orange swinglines we have a series of lower highs and lower lows. We are embedded on the RSI and can expect this trend to continue. We bounced off the lower bollinger band as expected the other day which acts as a soft resistance and is also where people shorting the stock would have taken profit. The 100 day moving average (green) is overhead resistance. I would expect this stock to continue falling. My target for purchase would be the confluence of supports forming with the blue support line, the lower Bollinger band, and the 200 day moving average. I expect to be fully positioned back in this stock within the next week.

OIL.

I think this chart is self explanatory but i'm happy to go more into it if anybody wants. I think we're in a falling wedge pattern which usually result is sharp upwards reversals. I see that reversal happening soon as there is a confluence of supports coming on the chart, the blue support lines, the orange trend lines, and the 200 day moving average. I think the lowest we'll see oil go is about $87.26 however on the weekly chart there is a 50 day moving average coming of about $90.

I think overall this chart is saying the downside momentum of oil is running out of steam and we can expect a sharp upwards reversal soon.

We will have to see what will happen. i think those levels will definitely be tested. i don't know if it will go all the way to 320 in one move, might be a backtest scenario but the chart implies it will happen. All i can say right now is I definitely think pre covid highs will be tested.

Here's my nasdaq. I think we're going to pre covid highs as well, very similar setup to SPX/SPY. I think the Nasdaq is showing a false breakout right now against the converging 50dma and upper bollinger band. We're going to get some few months long bear market really that's going to make everyone think the worst is now over and all retail money from sidelines jumps back in.
But 2023 things will completely shit the bed as everyone realizes nothing has really been fixed and everything just got worse while the markets rallied.
Which is why I'm probably going to be selling during the next major rally, because I don't think there's going to be any real reversals before the markets get completely rekt and fall far under pre covid highs.

SPY is *much* less top-heavy than QQQ. what to short depends on your preference. i'm not sure whether i want to short SPY or QQQ. based on the charts, SPY has further to drop back to the long-term trendline, but so far, SPY has been more resilient than QQQ, dropping -20% versus the QQQ's -30%

As for myself, I bought a call on SRTY in October and exercised it in February and made like $150 off it.
Now I'm considering some synth future spreads on YANG or something and having it expire in October... while inverse etfs are risky, puts have more premia than calls, so it's better to sell the puts and long the calls, then do it on an inverse etf (rather than long put and short call against a regular etf). Not sure if this is a good idea or not, I'm researching it.

We'll see how this week goes. I think the 15th is a pivotal day (with the 17th also being the 17th of Tammuz that occurs on the Sunday night, just in time for the market to shit itself.). Like based schizo said >>50219852, the Shemitah ends with the end of the September lunar month, so I won't really long before then. Patience is key.

Ok, to put it lightly, everything looks extremely good for their summer season. Eskay Mining's crews are doing a lot of leg work exploring the potential at Scarlet Ridge, and figure its likely just as good as the TV and Jeff prospects. All around fantastic news, lots of good looking material / results to work with. Cant wait to see the assays back.

true i am bias towards good news, but if its simply good news in general you cant really knock it. Eskay Mining's territory has excellent potential, however it is remote, costs to explore are way up compared to the last few years, especially anything require helicopter time. All juniors in my favorite territory are going to get hammered with costs this year, and it will for sure dampen exploration / outlook for the foreseeable future. Weather is another issue, were looking at a very wet cold summer here, so exploration work will have to work with this. It will hamper sampling and even drilling projects, especially if we have an early winter.

check out atlassalt.com and https://ceo.ca/salt It usually is risky to chase but averaging in buying any dips here seems like it could pay off big when you look at catalysts coming like the feasibility study. Their president previously built the biggest salt mine in the world (Goderich) for Compass Minerals and he thinks Atlas will be bigger with a 100 year mine life

i dont own Atlas, but if it gets a retail pump from reddit, I would ride the wave for a day or 2 and take profits at the top. these retail pumps never last and sell off over the next week back to the original price, so you might as well take profits
