I want to see silver in circulation again.
The US 90% coins turn almost a blue color with age and wear. Most of the newer 80% come closer to a tea color with wear, while some of the older 80% approaches the US 90% blue. Is it age that makes it blue or just wear and use among leaded gasoline and chainsmoker fingers?
Cherished US dollars get that deep seated patina as the wear already on them matures into the coin. Some of my sealed 80% coins look waxy brown with age.
I want to see people flip coins and listen for the ring to test if they're genuine. I want to hear the purses clink in the grocery. I want to hear the weight of gold coins hit an oak countertop as they are exchanged for a gun.
While I enjoy having a stack, I would really like to set them free. Out on the open market. Expressing their true worth and keeping the people liberated from our current debts.

serious question, isn't gold overvalued? When the US still backed the dollar with gold (until 1971), it was 35$ per ounce. Going purely by inflation, that value would be at a bit over 250$ today (pic related). Isn't almost 2000$/ounce way too much?

Frame of references my friend. Einstein's great revelation.

Is it gold that's overvalued, or is the inflation number they give us lower than it should be?

Remember, the (((inflation))) is a number that they pull out of their ass, while the price of gold is dependent on free-market factors and supply and demand factors.

One is a better indicator than the other.

well gold was also 35 dollars an ounce after FDR stole gold from the citizens, that was in 1933/34. So you really need to go by inflation from 1934 to now. The gold price was artificially pinned at 35 by the traitor FDR.

SO that would put the price using that calculator of yours more like $790/oz. But that being said the official inflation numbers are way off so gold is worth a lot more than even that number.

Sure. But easier to manipulate than the CPI? I highly doubt it. The CPI is literally a statistic that's generated by a government agency and they change their formulas every few years so it can stay at their 2% levels.

Just simply look at the shadowstats CPI which is more accurately represents actual inflation and you'll see the price of gold is fair - and slightly inflated at worse.

CPI is no longer an economical stat but first and foremost a political tool.

Shadowstats attempts to calculate inflation based on historical methods before CPI became too manipulated to be useful, you might want to look there.

Leaf junk is great. I have pounds of the stuff. I've been a collector before I was a stacker and it's been my focus.
Will it get collectible like burger 90%? I don't think so. Not to the same degree. There are a few popular dollars that are already collectible, 1949 boats, 1958 death Dollar, the 1935 originals, the 1939 parliament, and the rarer years of 1936 and 37 and the granddaddy 1948 with less than 20k minted. The 64 dollars are less popular, the 67 dollars are popular but akin to the Kennedy 1964 halves were minted at the time silver was pulled and so hoarded.
Even so the dollar coins are great. They feel like money. They often have a warmer overall tone than 90%. The largest minting was 1965 with over 10m. It was minted in excess due to the new QE2 portrait.
I should just make a graphic of Canadian junk already. I've posted this info enough times.
>>50156842

It will go up as other fractionals run out, of course. I don't think the premium will ever be the same.
I honestly think the FWTDHW meme caused a run on the merc dimes and that bled into other fractional.
Of all the fractional junk, quarters seem to be the cheapest of either 90 or 80 percent. I'm stacking 80% quarters at the moment.

>Where you thinking of looking?
I was looking at a hand-drawn map I had in my lap. The map was of an island with a mountain in the middle of it, and I was planning a trip to it . I knew that the mountain had gold, or I suspected it of having gold. There were also other people from biz who were going to go on the trip, or I was planning on inviting a group from biz to go. That part only lasted a short while, but when I woke up I knew that I had to tell pmg about it.
I have a history of extremely weird things happening to me, and I have had dreams that end up manifesting IRL sometimes. Now, you tell me that there are real lost mines to explore, and I can already feel my almonds being activated

If I bought silver in my home country I'd have to pay 25% VAT on it.

The online store claims its just gonna be 1.5 Euro (about 1.5 dollars) extra an Oz of silver which isn't that bad but I'm afraid that they might be forced to charge even more than that.

Mines could still profitably mine gold for under USD900.
The ratio of wages to gold shows that wages are worthless compared to history.
The copper to gold ratio shows that gold is overvalued or copper is undervalued, bearing in mind that the economy has slowed down so there is less demand for copper.
The gold to real estate ratio shows that real estate is still very expensive compared to this recent decade.
The gold to oil ratio shows that oil is expensive even with the current high price of gold.

You have standard “passable” rounds, what you’d expect for old coin as. Hrade c “taken out of baz’s ring round” complete with scratches and mount marks which is basically melt value only (according to them anyway) and “minty” which is above standard and better quality, less wear etc. you’ll be fine with standard rounds u less you feel like paying a bit more.

sov lad has some pics of the lower grade coins and he seemed happy enough with them.

IDK if it's the low resolution of the picture, but it looks like her eyes and the fren in the background needs some work. I think the magpie's eye needs a little more definition too (does Osborne suck at eyes or something?). Does the magpie's legs look alright? Looks a little small to me, and/or should be slightly to the left more? But IDK, what does other people think?

Everything else looks good, so far. Good detailing on her fingers, I can see what appears to be a thumbnail on her right thumb. Nice job on her torso, makes the picrel "milkies" version less necessary. Her face looks a little dark though, but I'm assuming it won't be that dark on the actual coin?

As inflation goes up people have less money to buy silver with. This reduces demand and the stores inventory increases and they stop ordering as much silver from the mints.

I'm not the one creating the threads, I mostly bump them with the screencaps. Statistically, every screencap posted in that thread is carefully and completely read by at least 10 new anons.
How are you supposed to broadcast the message about using sound money and doing a bank run on physical precious metals near their all time low if you are not actively spreading it?
One SETF thread active among a sea of spam threads is hurting absolutely no one except the ones that have to shut it down.
That thread is not created to promote silver to have /biz/ style gains with it, but to actively educate people on why they should hoard physical precious metals and to use them as a store of value and medium of exchange. Its purpose is to help in deprogramming everyone who opens that thread from still believing paper currency is valuable when it's actually nothing other than a piece of paper and every day there are new anons discovering it and learning about it. It's entirely political. It's repetitive for someone who keeps visiting it, but it's something completely new for so many other people.
If everyone knew about it by now, they would already have gotten at least 10 ounces and the comex would already be bankrupt by now.
The fact it didn't happen it means there are a lot of people out there who still need to find out about it and you can do that only by keep spreading the message about how important sound money is.

>As inflation goes up people have less money to buy silver with. This reduces demand and the stores inventory increases and they stop ordering as much silver from the mints.

Not quite. JP Morgan Chase & Citibank brought $4.5 billion in precious metals as derivatives for a year at the beginning of this year. The banks can manipulate the market for this period of time to stop people panicking and crashing the economy taking their money out of fiat. I feel fairly certain this fiat ponzi scheme is coming to an end, but it appears the banks are going to do it on their terms, build a narrative about the war in Ukraine so they won't be prosecuted for all the fraud they have done over the past couple of decades where this all began.

That is to be expected. The banks need to pursue an inflationary strategy and they need the obvious exit which is money commodities to not be showing real returns. Having a real understanding of economics and banking will allow you to act without being emotionally jerked away from the winning play. Until the bond market crashes and bad debts are written off in bankruptcy court, you are essentially exposing yourself to a tick time-bomb. This is going to blow up in our lifetime, if not in the matter of years. The Petro dollar is dead, and we are now running on fumes.

Yeah, I firmly believe they're willing to crash the whole economy just to prevent the comex from going bankrupt.
The everything bubble would've continue to go up without any problem if nobody figured out how important physical silver is and how it's tied to the financial system.

I have zero issue with you spreading the info because I also do in on other boards, but I do it sparingly otherwise it will eventually be seen as off topic spam. You know you could even mix it up with other subjects on /pol/, like on how to become ungovernable with planting crops, creating fresh water, how to do trade without fiat, there's so much more you can do along side the PM's argument that has been beaten to death on there. It doesn't matter that you're not solely responsible, it's just a matter of fact the /SETF/ threads are now seen as spam on /pol/ and I ain't even a mod there, just a seldom user and even I see them as spam.

>Europa the last battle
Biggest waste of a day you could do on the internet. Hitler was retarded. He was militarily a retard and more relevant here, he was economically a retard. Examples include his reliance on central banks and refusal to mint gold coins (his paper scraps weren’t redeemable for shit) and his further debasement of silver coinage. Bring back the Kaiser. Would’ve been better for them to have either won the Great War or fir it to have not happened in the first place.

And? I have platinum hands (platinum as in strength and resistance to corrosion). I will likely never sell, and thats the point. Im in the top 1% of all silver owners in the world. I literally hold more physical wealth than 90% of people on the planet. Unlike gay stocks, I actually get to keep my shinies, BECAUSE IM HOLDING IT. It wont disappear, no one can reverse split my shinies, nothing short of a nuclear blast will destroy my shinies. Shitcoin, fiat, and stocks are all related to labor production, if anything snaps then so goes the whole system until it bottoms out. My silver will ALWAYS hold value because of how much labor was required to get it in the first place.
Who cares if I can only exchange it for X amount of fiat? 1oz = 1oz, always. This is just a chance for me to gobble up more shiny before everything goes to shit, at which point my shinies will be a great boon to my survival.

I bought my first sovs. Dated 2016. From a reputable dealer in the UK.
No joke the rims are uneven. Thicker in parts, thinner in others. Pic related. (The two sovs are the at the same elevation and the same distance from the camera.

Please tell me this is normal...

Seriously look at the coin second from the top.
literally bulges on the right.
On the left there's actually a gap between it and the coin on top.

I don't know which would be worse - I bought fakes, or the real ones are this clumsily struck.

dunno why it came out landscape...
Look at the coin second from the left of the picture.
The part of the coin at the top of the picture bulges.
The part of the coin at the bottom of the picture leaves an actual gap between the two coins on the left.
