It's the housefrau that allowed for American industry. No housefrau no western industry. Tariffs are useless, we have women dragging down wages and demoralized men. It's been culture all along, not politics, but good luck telling a bunch of people that paid 50k plus for someone to tell them they are smart to understand something like that

It's not just consumer goods, Chinese are actually good at making some things like Aluminum. America is bleh, British used to be good until Muslims took over, India is terrible, South America is terrible. What little industry we have left that survived the Grand Pozzing will benefit from Chinese material

The problem is it wasn't "the US", it was a small subset of psychopathic yuppie baby boomers that took on decision-making roles at major corporations all across America. That subculture's mentality is 100%, "fuck you I got mine" and have little ability to think about or plan for the future.

That wont work though if a new president removes the tariffs every few years

You don't understand. Mao made it a focus to industrialize China - they were the only ones who could build anything in Asia.

Still, till this day, you can have anything made in China, and the logistics network is all there...all for a great deal. There are companies with idle factories, just waiting to employ 100 bugs to make your new shitty thing, so long as you have the money.

Vietnamese and SK, Laos, Thailand, all those gooks are incompetent as fuck. Fuckers have fish teeth cause they're literally just content with sitting by a stream and eating raw fish like golum,

But yeah, the Chinese are just simply much smarter than everyone else, and they have the backing of a competent state with much means and resources. No other country in Asia could compete because they weren't even in the game, and now they're too far behind to match China.

Sometimes having a single party authoritarian government can be very effective. This is one of those times. Imagine have to deal with the laws and politics of 10+ countries rather than one. Then the required infrastructure and logistic network across all of that, on top of dealing with the whim of political instability.

The entirety of SEA combined doesn't even match to a quarter of China's manufacturing output.

>Sometimes having a single party authoritarian government can be very effective
of course the truth is that being able to live without a genuinely authoritarian government is actually a luxury, and in most cases that form of leadership is a necessity
individual liberty is something that's either granted to you by already favorable social, environmental, and economical circumstances, or is traded for by selling away the sovereignty of the nation in an obscured way
the irony is the people who obsess so much over their liberty in some ways understand it the least, because of exactly what liberty allows them to take for granted
