You all, I am going to say this: prepare for the this month of July it’s going to be one we are all going to remember. Rest assured we will all stand tall and shoulder to shoulder as Americans. Gold and Silver is Lord Jesus money, and this paper money it is only to enslave us. America will come back to coining gold and silver. Those who have faith will be blessed. For the federal reserve is not Federal nor does it have any reserve its backed by 30 Trillions of debt, and we American’s don’t own the debt. Can I get a hallelujah praise the Lord?

From what I understand, once the cost to extract overtakes the spot price then mining will slow down substantially unless they have plenty of cushion to keep mining. This means less new supply for comex which means it will drain evwn faster. It wont go to zero though, remember that gold and silver are the rule not the exception. If Schwab and his merry band of mendacious Jews have their way they'll need to absolutely crush all paper markets and bankrupt everyone too exposed before rolling out their Great Reset CBDC slave system, so sub-$10 silver and $1000 gold is on the table. happy 4th of july everyone

ignore the shills telling you to waste money on meme metals like rhenium with zero liquidity

ignore the shills telling you to stack only gold because silver is a meme (please please PLEASE stop buying silver)

ignore the crypto shills who are down 50%+ and make a big deal over the tiny in comparison PM dip

ignore the dummies/shills who don't understand /SETF/ (or pretend not to)

tune it all out. just keep on stackin silver and the occasional gold piece. do it at whatever pace is comfortable for you.

I would call it 'Strategic metals'.

Also, knowing certain things such as low liquidity is important before buying. As with all things, buyer beware. Though if someone has good understanding and feels confident to buy some, they can do that if they want. Just realize you could lose everything.

Definitely an interesting angle to the pmg threads. The strategic metals are quite an experimental/volatile/unknown investment vehicle for traditional investors in precious metals, it would be interesting to see if something could come of strategic metal investing.

That was me in the other thread man, I just wanted to add some caution to counter balance. I am definitely wanting to buy them myself and see the potential (industry 4.0 etc) but don't want someone to buy and then the price goes down and they find it difficult to sell due to liquidity issues or something. I think Strategic metals definitely deserve a place in pmg (especially as a lot of them including pgm are pm) as an interesting potential avenue but people might not understand how it is different to investing gold/silver for example. Though to be fair, if you are buying Rhodium you will have trouble selling it at spot in comparison to the ease of selling gold at spot. Platinum is also more tricky to sell than silver/gold but is still mentioned in pmg. I would love to see investment in strategic metals become mainstreamed and the prices rocket (for one it might throw a wrench in the 4th industrial revolution/great reset XD), but I also want to counter balance that with the possibility it might not happen for anyone reading.

I guess that's a big part of the allure of Canadian Junk Silver to me, there's something poetic about storing my wealth in the Silver coinage of a nation that has since been subverted wholesale: keeping the memory of a better time alive along with preserving my wealth. checking ebay there are some people from israel selling small pieces of rhenium for like 50x the guesstimated spot price lol

>> No.50144450

>>50144280
The thing I learned a little about ebay is that those who are selling things are ridiculously high and low prices are typically the exceptions, yet they are still big factors into finding the "real price" of something, by taking them into account with typical prices and averaging everything else to get an idea of what the real price average something is worth to most people
So if someone is selling rhenium at 50x spot price, while another is selling rhenium at 5x less spot price, I would then assume the real price of rhenium to be about 10x what it currently is valued, based on the extremes of either end
really those who sell or buy at spot price constrain the numbers to be as close to spot price but those who see over price can contribute to spot price moving up over time I'd think

>> No.50144648

Haha yeah man, they polish up those pieces to look pretty and over-charge. Surprisingly they seem to sell a lot too. There seems to be a lot of money to be made making Rhenium look slightly pretty and selling it for a bazillion x spot. If someone stamped up pretty coins of Rhenium they could probably make bank. One issue with Rhenium processing is that the melting point is very high. Another thing to keep in mind is that for some of the items people just want an example of Rhenium to add to their elements collection and they have no concept of price.

In the UK Gold Sovereigns seem best. No VAT and no capital gains tax when you sell. Gold sovereigns live outside of taxes. With silver you are always stuck with VAT, even if you avoid capital gains by getting silver Britannia's. Of course if silver goes up ridiculously compared to gold you would prefer to have silver even with the taxes, either way its probably good to at least have some silver.

Maybe, I have noticed on eBay though they often try to price them as though they have vat included. One good option in the UK is also to buy silver metal scrap/objects. I mean if we are paying £27 for an ounce of silver, you might as well buy antique objects at that point (though Britannia's exclude Capital gains tax of course).

No. I've done the calculations and found that the overheads are just too much. Only get silver if you can get it for around 3% premium or below with no VAT (so a second hand sale). If you can't just buy gold.

Chilton doesn't even allege silver market is being manipulated to keep the price low, let alone provide any evidence.
It's just a very boring recollection of his very boring career as a regulator.
Absolutely zero info in there useful for deciding whether to invest in silver or not, other than the (obvious) point that there are bad actors in the market who skirt the rules.

If the ore is very high yield, it'll have about 1oz pure gold per 1 ton of ore
31 000 000 metric tons ore = 31 000 000 troy ounces refined gold
31 000 000 troy ounces = roughly 880 metric tons
Total gold ever mined is 205238 tonnes + there's 53000 tonnes of proven reserves below ground, for a total of 258238 tonnes.
So the new find increased the total available gold by 0.34% and that's assuming the ore will have very high yield, realistically it won't even be half of that. Literally nothing in the grand scheme.

No but we have lots of niggers, homeless heroin addicts crackheads alcoholics and methsmokers so most areas have lots of competition. Back in 2010-2012 I did a lot of scrapping, but I'd park my truck next to a ravine or riverbank and collect the old scrap dumped down decades prior instead of competing with unsavories in the alleys for wasp infested aluminum cans. Solid steel fenceposts and antique cast iron paid really well back then. Best day was $365 cash working from 7-2:30 cleaning up an illegal dump full of copper wire and aluminum siding, hard work but honest money and it made me very tough and strong.
