It's not a meme at all. Allow me to educate you in the Calculus of Manletism.

There are two key factors where your height becomes relevant:

1). you are in a group of people
2). within that group of people, if a given person's height deviates by more than 3 inches from the average of the group, then they will be treated differently.

Now, lets look at statistics. the average male is 5'9 (approx.) Therefore, if you are 5'9, then being treated differently will depend if the other people in your group are all >6'2, or all <5'6. Specifically:

1). If the average height of the group is YOUR HEIGHT + 3", you're a manlet.
2). If the average height of the group is YOUR HEIGHT - 3", youre a distinguished chad.

Now, In this specific example, it would be actually quite exceptional if your group average are all 6'0. that rarely happens. the chances would probably be around 1%. so in other words: in 1 out of 99 social encounters, you will be a manlet. Those chances are really not that big, and not worth worrying about.

However, if you are say, 5'7, then the chances of the average group height being 5'11 are actually quite high. Probably around 20%. So basically, in 1 out of every 4 group settings, you will be a manlet. If youre 5'6, its more like 50%. If you're 5.5, its probably close to 80 or 90%. Notice the non-linear curve.
