It doesn't seem any less certain now. At least back then you could be forgiven for getting hype about something CSW is doing in the courts or with his patents, but there has been literally no headway with any of that shit.

The case between him and Kleiman was completely contrived. The premise of the case was that CSW was Satoshi and owed Kleiman money over a partnership. No part of that case revealed whether or not he actually was. It was entirely to discover if he and Dave had a formal partnership involving sums of Bitcoin of which CSW owed to Dave.

There's been no enforcement of patents. There has been marginal success with striking down the whitepaper without his name on it, but hasn't been very impactful.

The only cope left is unironically COPA, but again this isn't a case over the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. It's a case to invalidate his patents, which don't get me wrong is a big win for CSW if he can win it.
