bankruptcy is pretty easy in burgerland. did it last year. just took about a week’s worth of paperwork and had a phone meeting with the trustee. didn’t even need to hire a lawyer.

you have to file bankruptcy. debt might be sold to collectors but it never goes away until you discharge it with bankruptcy. there are people on youtube (not lawyers) spreading the "just dont pay bro" stuff but i dont trust it at all. and bankruptcy is free. there are some court costs and online class costs but you can get them waived if youre really broke. and you can keep $20-30k worth of property depending on where you live.
