Was a top secret janitor, made good money to clean toilets, literally. Worked in a nearly empty building for 1.5 years just walking around empty hallways and classrooms at some brand new built building that wasn’t fully utilized. Things were okay for a high paid shit cleaner.

After the 1.5 year mark more folks finally started working out of there. One day a guy from my company threw his trash in the bathroom trash cans. And then had the gall to complain to the site manager that I wasn’t cleaning. So I went to work the next day and got dressed down and asked him to show me where I wasn’t cleaning and he stated before he left for the end of his day, he tossed his trash in the can, knowing full well I clean the shitters first thing in the AM and move on to other shit. So I tried to articulate it calmly and the guy wouldn’t accept it, a 45 year old just couldn’t understand why I wasn’t picking trash out of the trash can on his schedule. So I lost it on him called him a fucking faggot and told him he’s taking his shit to the dumpster and not just going to dump his food in the bathroom trash. Things went down hill from there, for the next six months the guy became just an antagonistic fuck every chance he got. One day towards the end the guy bitched enough to the site manager and they arbitrarily changed my hours form early morning to late night, knowing I went to school in the evenings. So I called OSHA and had them launch an investigation that was found to be valid due to no safety data sheets, training etc. so they couldn’t force me to actually work anymore but more importantly they couldn’t fire me because they it would look like retaliation for the OSHA complaint

But I figured they’d find something else to gripe about, so I decided to walk after the two year mark after sitting around for a few weeks not cleaning since no one bothered to “train” me on being safe and going through PTO and sick time.
