Politicians are basically the worst type of people.
The only reasons they get in to politics are because they're chasing money and power or they're idealists, and the only functional difference between those is that when the idealists lie to you they believe they're doing you a favor.

I see a lot of cope posted about these points and I expect some cope replies, but those are just facts and they can't be changed. The absolute worst thing in the Drrrruumpfftt!!! presidency was COVID and anyone with half a brain knew that was a nothingburger from the start.

MP the next pandemic.
Not only is it starting to infect kids and normal people, but it has a huge gay base where it can mutate and spread limitlessly, with it becoming more contagious over time.
Beyond that, the new strain is completely overtaking Africa, with deaths outside of its region stacking into the hundreds. It will stay there forever and constantly leak out.
This isn’t Covid. It is extremely painful and causes babies to die and kids to go into week long comas.

The gay sex thing is a midwit filter. You can buy SIGA, which has close ties to Pfizer and Bill Gates, or you can oy vey when your market crashes again.

If they pivot it will only accelerate the collapse pretty soon rising prices due to inflation is going to price people out of everything except food, utilities, and gas. This causes the chain reaction of people not paying their loans. It's literally what caused the 3 years of recession that took place after the dotcom crash. I kind of hope they do just print money until they break the printers because it will force the government to actually step in and force them to stop.

During a time of global uncertainty, currencies flock to the U.S. dollar. The dollar will go down soon enough. Look at how strong the rupiah was to the dollar in 2010-2012 - that's because everyone "sold" dollars to buy stocks. In the next 1-3 years the rupiah will gain to the dollar. You have to dig and find stocks no one is talking about because memes kill dreams, and then buy and hold a diverse group of 10 or so stocks.

Fancy that that the one thing that was constant through orange and not orange boomer was keeping JPOW at the Fed.

What's your bullcase anons
>Inflation starts to temper with increased oil production
>Earnings stay relatively strong
>Unemployment starts to creep up
As soon as there is signs of inflation reducing and a weakening economy, the fed will hold rates (maybe even cut them?) and back to ATHs in a year or so

Bitcoin will not recover until the market recovers.

>Didn't the changes to the corporates tax in 2017 increase earnings and therefore boost valuations?
As an investor in a business, yes they boosted distributable profits. In terms of asset multiple valuations though, it's all fed rigging.
This rigging matters since you're probably more likely to buy an asset at market price and then offload it in a few months/years at the future market price. The fed heavily influences those prices.

However, if you're a permanent investor and hold until the company dividends exceed your basis, it gets acquired, or it liquidates, then tomorrows multiples are a bit less relevant - what matters most is today's price.
It's never completely irrelevant though, as many companies and really the whole economy rely on the reflexive positive feedback loop that ZIRP has created these past 14 years.

Don't fight the fed.

this is false. You should look into how your brain can build synapse connections if you keep practicing or training at something without quitting. You can literally rewrite your brain.

There's no "liquidation" with leaps, you just lose the entire debit if they expire worthless. If you get deep ITM ones they'll have little extrinsic value so theta decay and IV crush aren't a big concern. Deep ITM ones are expensive though but still cheaper than 100 shares.
Also chop loss is not the huge threat people act like it is, skim this:
https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2741701

The biggest problem with leveraged ETFs is that Proshares or Direxion can shut it down at any time, and they'd be more motivated to do so during an extended bear market because the outflow and low Assets Under Management can make it unprofitable to run.

How would I go about fine tuning the dollar amount and leverage of the position? Like how fractional shares allow me to say I want $10 of SPY, how would I get $10 of 2.5x SPY? Or is the smallest unit available the price of one contract, and the leverage I get is whatever the lambda of that contract is?
