They make new ones every year. Collectors like to have 1 of each year. There are different mintages for each year, so on a quieter year fewer are made thus for collectors they are more valuable. A shop will just buy it off you for melt value so don’t bother collecting stuff like different year maples. It’s different with things like kookaburras as the pic is different each year and it’s “fun” to collect the set or grab a few sequential years. Local coin shops or eBay. The rando antique mixed junk shop I went to today had loads. But almost all the 90% had been picked clean. Stuff that’s was left was overpriced by probs double what you can snag on eBay.

You can find some on websites, but again it’s usually collector grade and very expensive for what it is. If you’re in the UK the royal mint sells old stuff as does bullionbypost, but again it’s high end collector stuff. If you just want say a generic florin from 1890 or whatever just find one on eBay for £12 or buy a job lot from britanniacoincompany then sell them yourself.

To mine in Canada you need a Canadian front company to hold the mineral rights, this usually ends up on the TSX and also pays all sorts of taxes. Mining in Canada is run by outside investment, surprisingly most is from the US and Japan, China is probably the 3rd largest investor in Canada's natural resource / mining sector. The Canadian government actually recently started really taking a look at whos buying what in the sector and stopped a chinese company from buying out a Canadian mine in the arctic.
