The day that Chainlink was listed on Robinhood began the start of a great opportunity...

Chainlink holders are like The Old Man and the Sea. They are so committed to winning on any terms that by the time they achieve victory they will have lost everything they were aspiring for in the first place.

Namely, LINKies have the opportunity of using the very same shitty, centralized platform to beat Reddit at their own game.

I'm talking about how Reddit used Robinhood in a meme pump to blow out Hedge Funds/Institutions shorting Gamestop. Well, with Chainlink's listing on Robinhood recently, LINKies...if they can muster up the effort, they can actually have a more successful, comparative impact.

Think about it. Just like GameStop, there are shorts galore being opened on LINK, and they are primarily being opened by a bunch of shady, scammy CeFiDeFi institutions. They have somehow managed to accomplish further damaging the image of the crypto space. They have abused their users and misused their funds and as a last gasp to save themselves, prior to their forthcoming death rattles: they are shorting LINK. And not just any token...but a project that is likely one of the most legitimate in the space.

How poetic if 4chan, along with the crypto-friendly side of Reddit outdo WallStreetBets on not just a pump/short squeeze, but *actually* rekting corrupt institutions? I mean, guys, it's a bear market, and LINK is memed as a bear market token. Come on, this is all an easy connection to make. You've even got an easy catalyst tied to an event (SmartCon/staking). It all lines up, and, if anything: it should be easier to do a short squeeze with a bear market's volume.

Even just short squeezing to $30-$40 would blow the fuck out of these scammy institutions/players shorting LINK and we can finally purge them out of this space before the next run. I guarantee you that it'll definitely endear the space to LINK as well and do a 180 in terms of sentiment towards Chainlink (think of the goodwill that it will be viewed in the space overall).

LINKsters can finally set cryptographic truth free and again, how poetic that it'll be on a centralized shithole like Robinhood to rekt a bunch of shady, scammy fucks that tried to poison DeFi with their centralized brand of horseshit, and are holding their users' funds hostage (again, to short LINK).

You guys can beat the normies on Reddit at their own game and do it better.

Seize the opportunity.

This LinkOverbet guy is fucking retard. Seen some of his other tweets about how Sergey dumping another 50m tokens won't add sell pressure to the price. Like pick up a fucking economics textbook and look at the supply and demand graphs, it's literally one of the first lessons.

Gee, one wonders how Bitcoin ever pumped as more and more Bitcoin supply kept being released...same with Ethereum...

>> No.50090456

>>50090428
Both Bitcoin and Ethereum generated enough demand to exceed the increase in supply. Chainlink generates no demand and no hype, therefore any increases in supply just dumps the price.
If increasing supply has no impact on price, why does Sergey not just market sell the remaining 500m tokens?

When the GME play started back in /smg/, GME was under $10 and the wildest squeeze theories had it going to a few hundred. There was nothing about the fall of the west all being triggered by, and funneled into shareholder profits for, GME. Back then, it was a solid play, and it worked out (I snagged 1k shares under $10 and made out nicely)
This setup has a lot of similarities. An asset that has been overshorted by hedgies despite having a potentially good future. However even if all these hedgies were liquidated in a short squeeze, I’m not sure how much liquidity that would be, if it’s enough to make a lot of people really rich? Anyway, at this point it seems a way more reasonable such short squeeze play than GME, and ironically more like the original GME play (I still hold 100 GME btw, this is not some elaborate GME fud)

Additionally, I guess there’s no clearing house in the way this time, forcing robinhood to increase their collateral for settlements in case of a squeeze (and thus forcing robinhood to pause purchases). Could be an important aspect should the squeeze really happen.

this is a really interesting point. especially if you buy into the idea that robinhood listed link to deliberately put pressure on these institutions. and the timing does make that seem likely enough. celsius and nexo are making more enemies by the day, and have no friends to help them out of this mess. their only recourse is to dig themselves deeper and deeper and hope the market cooperates in the short term. they are in such a vulnerable position right now. if enough people, or the right people, are made aware, then they will be hunted and liquidated.

Robinhood not stopping people from buying the squeeze when they are not forced to would go a long way to clearing their brand, and shift the blame for the GME fiasco to the tradfi institutions.

Btw…is it weird that Sergey has been using Robinhood (the GME incident) as the example and face of bad old tradfi in all his presentations for like a year and then suddenly they list LINK as one of their, what, ten supported cryptos? This despite it being far from top ten now, and normies still never having heard of it? What gives? Does a robinhood listing imply Sergey and Vlad are chums now and Sergey will change all his presentations?
