It's all a Ponzi edition
Robinhood is a commission free stock trading app on iOS/Android

--Robinhood FAQs --
- VISIT THE WEBSITE FIRST DAMMIT!! - www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on the cash and securities in Robinhood accounts, much like a bank collects interest on cash deposits and by collecting fees from robinhood gold.

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are *** and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-*** for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda. It could have just as easily gone the way of other forgotten shitcoins. It could have had its final crash right after buy in.

I don't feel it's a sound long term investment. Sure you can make money on a bubble, but if you miss the last ride off you're fucked. Remember the last crash when people were locked out of selling? Yeah, just the platform I want to put money in.

I'm skeptical of them and don't trust them. Maybe I miss bubble gains, but oh well. High reward, high risk. Walking through a daily minefield, bitcoin is. I don't think the stock market is gonna lose 99% of its value anytime soon.

How much of a faggot am I for trying to set up a dividend portfolio? It has some established companies like F, KO, and GE while it's cheap. The idea is to have enough residual income for property taxes and home/car maintenance at some point.

Canadian weed get rich or die gambit update of the day:

>Winners (that i currently have stock in):
Future Farm Technologies (FFT): +11%. Doubled down on this when it was low yesterday.
Namaste (N.CD): +14%. Steady rise with reasonable RSI the whole way up.

>Holding flat-ish
Aurora Cannabis (ACB): -1.5%. Aurora's stock is being held down slightly this week due to uncertainty over the outcome of the hostile takeover of Cannimed. Cannimed was talking all kinds of (polite) trash on BNN yesterday. We'll see. At any rate, this is the cheapest potentially massive cannabis company in Canada right now to get in on.

>being dumped on and no i'm not going to say losers... this is 100% volatility and pressure from shorts
Isoldiol International (ISOL): -8.6%. Doubled down with prejudice on this low price this morning.

>Watching closely
Relevium (RLV): hanging around 20 cents/share after a pump last week. Could moon again at any time.

Weed industry news is positive this month. Share prices across the whole sector are growing quickly.

That's why its good short term, but almost unlimited long term.

Im more TA than FA, but the price wont line up perfectly with the company value anyways, the hype alone mixed with the gaps in the charts can make this go pretty high pretty fast.
in the enxt 6 months, a few good PRs and a few game changing ERs (drawing profit), you mix that with people starting to pay attention to their projections of billions, the float can get eaten up very quickly

Correct. The experienced folks here know this of course but I know crypto has brought in tons on new people to investing in general so i'll give the spiel:

When you buy a stock it's important to decide what strategy you wish to take with it. Some stocks are good for long holding (growing industry), some are good for swing trading where you buy the dip and sell the highest reasonable highs over the course of a couple weeks or a month, and day trading where you get in and get out with a little profit as fast as possible to free up capital to jump on the next ride. For a long hold stock, the idea is to do lots of research in the sector and specific company and make a decision that this stock will grow, despite volatility, over the long term. On day trade stocks, you generally don't give a shit about the company and are mostly focused on the charts and technical analysis. Swing is sort of between the two. I sometimes swing trade penny stocks that I believe have potential to become locked in long holds as they make there way up to the dollar range, but mostly with long holds you want to spend 95% of your time looking at the reported earnings numbers, acquisitions, and news, rather than the short term movements on the share price.

So, on long holds, ask yourself, do I trust this company and this sector? Do I think it will grow? Is it well managed? Does it/can it make money? If so, then iron hands hold that son of a bitch and buy more shares for cheap if it gets really low.

One thing to keep in mind though is that if Core CPI comes in under expectation tomorrow, it's important to make sure you manage your risk.

This upcoming interest rate hike has, largely, been priced in. People will now be looking to speculate on whether or not the Fed can raise rates 3 times next year. So even if a rate hike is announced to be happening tomorrow, if CPI is below expectation, I expect gold to at least come out of its downward trend on the daily chart.

Aphria is a safe bet with their Shoppers Drug Mart supply deal. If you like Aphria, also check out Tetra Bio Pharma, the two companies are closely tied.
