Anyone still think a crash is coming? Looking for a cheap buy-in. Sold all my BTC for USDT around $10,600 just before the crash a few weeks ago.

Will BTC dip again before 2018?

I'm fully convinced Bitcoin will crash before reaching 20k

Not anytime soon, the hype train still has a ways to go imo.

Hype is real, I doubt there will be a crash before 2019.

The truth is that everyone is loving cryptos right now. The crash will only come once boomers and astute financial analysts start moving from stocks to cryptos heavily. This hasn't happened yet, as even many 20-30 year old financial analysts still believe it to be a bubble.

My friend who is somewhat high up at the major local credit union laughs at bitcoin. He's smart and very good with his money. thinks crypto is fun to play around with but not for serious investing due to the volatility. His reasoning is sound, his folly is not realizing that cryptos are unreasonable.

My point is the market is still small and if cryptos crash overnight it's not a big deal except some people lose money. The big deal comes when massive corporations stop getting funding from middle class stock buyers. The crash comes when you can select bitcoin as part of your portfolio on your 401k.

Once that happens, and the American (or global) economy slows down because people are pumping tons of money into cryptos instead of regular companies, that's when it will crash. But not before then.

If Wall Street and Politicians were smart they would declare CryptoCurrency as illegal once it hits the peak, and they would guarantee a fixed rate of exchange. For example, say Bitcoin hits $100k, and then the government guarantees to give you $100k in cash for your bitcoin so that you can actually go out and stimulate the real economy.

If they don't do that, then it will crash, but not only will cryptos crashed, the crash of cryptos will take the whole fucking stock market with it.

This sounds most correct. To be clear, I'm not talking about a total bottoming-out, I just mean a relatively large correction: say, 50% dip. But yes, the normie invasion has me worried. 2 weeks ago I had to explain to my office of 50 year old men who barely know how to check their emails exactly what BTC was.

They were obviously skeptical, but the fact that they'd heard of it at all had me worried.

I mean, that is the point of cryptos though. If normies don't adopt and use cryptos then they fail as a technology.

Right, but they're going to fuck it up in the same way laypeople fucked up stocks in the 1929 - they just assume its a never-ending moon mission so they put too much money in it, and then panic sell all at once when things start to dip a little, and the rest follow suit, destroying the market (temporarily). Even THIS wouldn't be awful, unless it brings in what it brought in in the 1930s.... Government regulation.

>printing a few trillion $ to compensate american bitcoin holders (because they are not getting those trillions out of a crashed btc market) and leaving insane amounts of new money in the hands of consumers to inundate the economy

Sadly, you post only proves that one can make what at first sight looks like a very well thought argument and yet be full of retarded bullshit.
