Regulations are knocking!!!

What would be the fate of DeFi? Isn't the presence of regulations opposed to the idea of Decentralization as a whole?

I don't think the industry is left with anymore choices since LUNA and Celsius pulled a classic rug pull on their users.

How do you regulate what is decentralized?

>> No.50043743

>What would be the fate of DeFi?

Regulation won't be death tier (That'll be Congo tier from the US) and this will lead to the biggest bullrun in crypto history, Possibly DeFi alone to 15T (Including ETH) by 2025.

Currently DeFi marketcap is around 300B for measure. Buy Ether, Core L1s (I'm talking BNB,AVAX,SOL etc not your sub $50M marketcap shitcoin) and core DeFi protocols (AAVE, LINK, Curve etc) and sit comfy anon

Regulation will save DeFi from itself if they start prosecuting the blatant scammers that currently saturate the space with fake APY ponzi schemes and leech the lion's share of interested capital into the pockets of cliques of insiders. If real DeFi - not the status quo - can truly deliver on the promises of decentralization it will not be affected anyway.

This is mostly because of privacy. We know that DeFi's main component is privacy so the best solution would be KYC'd pools for whoever wants to provide liquidity for institutions Keeping in mind that this is for institutions that want to participate in DeFi.

This. KYC requirements protect the main parts of DeFi, by ensuring there's an option to remain anonymous. Some projects focus on this while inviting major liquidity flows from TradFi institutes.
