I did a bunch of ketamine over the weekend.

In my infinite loop of thoughts I came to the conclusion that enjoyment in life boils down to new experiences but not just material experiences (that you purchase etc). You need to seek out a variety of experiences whether it be relationships and so forth.

The combination of intellectual and physical experiences (and to an extent spiritual) is key to having a good life.

There are many on this board who look at it all through a simplified lense of making money at all costs to be happy - manufacturered happiness.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to be wealthy and wanting to succeed financially but you won't get the most out of it if you don't balance it properly.

It can get very lonely in a castle all by yourself.

I'm 34 years old and let my younger brothers talk me into joining an mma gym. Fell in love with it instantly. It's been great for me physically and mentally. Also been meeting some really cool people. I was in the same state as you and even something as dumb/simple as getting into mma has really invigorated me. Great release for anger too. I drive by a jiu-jitsu gym all the time and keep thinking about looking into classes there but I'm 41 and worried I'm too old and would just get my ass kicked. I'm in decent shape for an old guy but still a lot creakier than I used to be. Think an old fart like me would be able to keep up?
