What's the difference with Bitcoin practically?

>> No.50041526

>>50041427
You can actually use it instead of pretending to hold it on an exchange. Plentiful block space that can accommodate LN transactions, developers who intend it to become the worldwide currency, low fees, transactions that don't get stuck in the mempool, optional privacy tools that make it palatable to governments. Don't dismiss it too easily.

Roger as the main mascot didn't inspire a lot of confidence to begin with.

>> No.50041549

Why would anyone hold this? Bitcoin has first mover advantage and name recognition. If you want someone with some other utility, why would you go for knockoff Bitcoin instead of a chain with smart contracts that actually function and can be easily added upon? I'm not shilling shit, I just don't understand the mindset at all. It's the same as holding LTC or BSV. Just why?

>> No.50041590

>didn't even pump last alt cycle

thats just the altcoin way.
you get 1, if you're lucky 2 pumps, and then its down only.

Why does he even matter? It's like saying Bitcoin is worthless because scammers use it. You guys are probably newcomers to crypto, so I don't expect you to know anything, but Roger was still on Segwit2x after Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin forked. He only came aboard after the Bitcoin developers reneged on the compromise to scale in exchange for segwit.

Can you believe there was a period in time when if you had Bitcoin you would literally receive free money from all the forks. God I miss those times.

>> No.50042220

>>50034105
It's not like the price doesn't matter, to investors or PoW security, but Bitcoin Cash works as money at any price. It's still the Bitcoin that gives you freedom from the state and state-controlled financial institutions, to make permissionless, affordable, fast payments. Naturally the state and its minions have been trying to kill it since day one. In the long term, the economically sound technology is going to win.

I highly recommend this video for insights into how they tried to co-opt Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is how it survived.

It's a great coin for transacting but there are many others too like XRP.
Even the funder of noise.cash (free BCH users can tip each other) is losing love for BCH recently.
Coins with already realized utility never pump anymore, they just settle down.
