Well I was working in development back then kid and I assume you plenty of people of all ages though the internet was a waste of time, inferior to printed material and inferior to television or the telephone/fax. I specifically remember showing someone email on a gsm mobile very early and someone saying, why would I want to ever receive email on a phone and was this what I was wasting my time doing. I got fired as a consequence. I also got a written warning for suggesting that putting printed memos in everyone's intrays was wasteful as one of my managers was against using email as he 'never turned his computer on' and he thought I was trying to get rid of memos to make his life hard. I ran into someone who had someone search and print off articles from the internet later on and then store them in a filing cabinet system. You have no idea how stupid people are.
