People don't actually believe you can solve the trilemma, do they?

Big blocks aren't decentralized. Also sign the blocks Craig.

Eh, probably Algorand is the closest to solving it.

>nb4 relay nodes

I mean, relay only really ensure up-time, they're not required for functionality, just for smooth operations. If they go offline then the network survives, it just has a hampered through put. Not like ETH or BTC where if the mining pools go offline then it's game over for the whole thing.

Algorand solved it. Scalability is merely a choice now. Just politics and persuasion at this point.

Not even true, non mining nodes would continue to keep the network online without transactions being processed. Typical algo pos shill, makes up lies.

The Trilemma is just a made-up problem for a tech that itself was created for a made-up problem

The torrent protocol has all 3 of these features.
Sounds like blockchain just sucks as a technology.

Even Bram Cohen, the guy who made the torrent protocol, acknowledges that the trilemma exists. His own crypto is going to rely on Layer 2

There is no technical reason for HBAR to not be decentralized. They are just choosing to run their own version as a centralized network. But now that its open source you could fork it and start your own with permisionless nodes.
