Now back to the thread's topic, outside cities/large towns you could buy some cheap house. They usually are in shit condition. Anons have posted some ruins from the balkan area that sell for high six digits. Now if anyone is still reading here's why they sell for so high: You get the land the house is on and land can get VERY expensive.
Then there's the expensive housing in cities. Greece has a very high home ownership and many people rent their second homes to students. And with low supply and constantly high demand, you get expensive housing in "urban" areas.
Now if you are brave enough to still be reading, if you are not budging after this, you have to face a slow, cancerous public sector that will make even breathing there difficult, but I'm not going to start shitting on them.
