1. Why is dYdX ditching Ethereum? What do they know that we don't?

2. Is Polkadot masquerading as a decentralized consensus and settlement layer?

3. With transaction fees making only 2% of mining revenue, how can mining continue to be sustainable after so many halvings? Can Bitcoin realistically adopt tail-emissions?

Previous Thread: None, this is the first one.

Depends on several things, the most important one being how Bitcoin adapts to growing mining costs. It has two options:

1. Adopt tail-emissions (eg. Monero)
2. Change its consensus to proof of stake (eg. ZEC, Ethereum)

>try to stake dot
>shitty polkadot.js interface
>set up controller and stash accounts
>need minimum 10 dot to be nominator
>need minimum 1 dot in account at all times
>maximum number of nominators almost reached

>try to stake atom
>easy interface
>pick validator
>stake any amount
>immediately get rewards

Did I make mistake going for Dot. I can't even imagine the pain to run a validator.
