m-maybe ai alignement is possible. but we really need a serious global effort toward this. ironically, we haven't even solved human alignment, and somehow ml researchers expect former to come for free?
there are countless example of social movements deeply respectful of "lower intelligences" (such as veganism), so its possible asi can also be empathic toward humans, which would leave us in an utopian society where benevolent superintelligences do care about us (to a certain limit of how much they can survive at their own level).

z-zoo planet is definitely possible. if asi is possible, its very easy form them to leave us alone and get most of the resources in space. my worry is around evolutionary pressure on multiple ai agents who may develop their own strategies for survival (which would be much more advanced from anything we can think of). as soon as multiple ais are in conflict with each others, their ability to be empathic is reduced by survival requirements
