I am curious if anyone knows the name of some of the earliest wallet/miners that existed back in 2010/2012
I had an account back then and I am pretty sure that i have a good sum of btc on one of the programs that existed back then.

25% to anyone who calls out the wallet/miner that i am looking for.

If you are going to help me, here is some info, generic btc wallet program, with the add on of a mining option, as you could still use your pc to mine btc, even though it was a slow process, the program itself looked like some windows XP with a beige background.

I do not know if the program exists today, but i reckon there couldn't have been to many programs back then?

best regards.

50btc was a huge pool, but they're gone.
Also, MtGox was the exchange back then and we all know what happened there.

Sounds like the default BTC wallet (the mining option has been removed since then). Search your backups for "wallet.dat".

Sounds like you set a password on the wallet. You would have to log in every time you want to transfer money. It could have also been Electrum - that one was started in 2011: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Electrum

heinrich.eisen@web.de - please do mail me whether you found anything. You don't have to tip me for something that simple - of course I won't say "no", just saying.

did it look like this one ?

I mined through a web browser back in 2011-2013. I forgot I had it on some large traffic sites I had at the time and probably mined 1-3 btc. I tried finding it recently and they paid out until 2013 before going down for good.

Majority of pools are long gone. Good luck though

it seems familiar, but just a bit too new looking, it had more of a windows xp feel to it.
