People are unironically interested in the "real" APY that link staking offers. The amount of link that will be locked up (25M->75M) is a very significant portion of the total supply (2.5%->7.5%) let alone the circulating amount(5%->16%).
This is based on very few price feeds supporting it so the growth opportunity is massive to the point where in fairly short amount of time there will be more demand than total supply which will further drive up the "real" APY to a self sustaining 5% and well beyond. This in turn will force the token value up to cater for the demand.

that would be easy enough to do, and it would be possible to identify people who are (likely) moving LINK between their own private wallets rather than trading
I think at this point most CEX and DEX hot wallets are pretty easy to identify on chain, so it's pretty clear which transfers are between privately-held wallets and which transfers are part of a trade
maybe some exceptions, but you could get mostly accurate.
