What do you pay? Isn't the price for gas about 4-5 USD a gallon? A gallon is 3,7 liters.

Let's say 5 USD for a gallon = 1,35 dollars per litre.

In germany gas is about 2 Euro per litre AFTER the government stepped in. It was about 2,15-2-20 for a while, if not more at some places. And the Euro is still more worth than the USD.
