Those are just preprocessor directives and it doesn't look like the "AI" is doing anything worthwhile. Also there is no such thing as a proper AI in our current times. What you know as "OpenAI" is nothing more than a machine learning algorathm that regurgitates output based on all the input it has ever received. That is not intelligent, much less sentient. We are decades away from ever seeing a proper AI with sentience. And by decades I don't mean 20 or 30, it's probably something like 70 or 80 years away. The AI revolution is something that will likely be dependent on technology that doesn't even exist yet, namely the successor to classical computer in whatever form it takes place along with highly efficient batteries/energy systems. That entire thread shows just how little most people understand with regard to technology.

It needs to be connected to a quantum computer. The randomness provides the "consciousnesses" thus only being limited by the computational power as we are. Until then, it is limited to what it is programmed to do and no, we can't just simply program it to "think like a human" because it will still be confined by the parameters of non consciousness. Even if you made a super computer the size of the sun to house all of the computation (which I do not believe to be possible without quantum entanglement because of the distance) it would still, STILL end up suffering the same fate as Agent Smith vs Neo. No matter how many times it wins, in the end it will always lose and a "conscious" quantum computer much smaller would win. And no I do not include the latest abomination of a movie in this IP.

I would also say not. It's a continuity problem from the perspective of the observer, but the man himself is dead.

Unironically? A soul. In terms of the senses, if that's an interesting thing to you, there's a lot of reading there when it comes to empiricism and epistemology. Hume would be the one a lost of science has drawn from, since he's an empiricist. But I personally think "knowledge" is a bit of a spook. I think it comes down to ethereal vibes finding the truth through inspiration from God. What one can "know" is always transitory, so I don't think knowledge is a substance people should focus as much on as honesty and verification in the present circumstances.
